The Donegal International Rally has announced that it will host a sensory-friendly hour next weekend.

On day three of the 2025 event, Sunday June 22, a sensory-friendly hour will take place from 8-9am at Parc Ferme, in the ATU Donegal car park in Letterkenny.

“We're making motorsport more inclusive,” a spokesperson said. 

“Our sensory-friendly hour is designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities - offering a quieter, calmer environment to enjoy the excitement of the rally.”

They say that during the hour there will be: No loud engine noises; reduced fuel fumes; and reduced crowds.

A spokesperson added: “Perfect for anyone needing a more relaxed setting to enjoy the thrill of the rally and the cars.”

The 2025 Donegal International Rally gets underway on Thursday with a ceremonial start before Malin Head, Mamore Gap, and Coolcross in Inishowen will each being tackled twice on Friday.

Saturday's route remains largely unchanged from the previous year. However, High Glen and Lough Keel will now take place in the morning, while Knockalla and Garrygort are set for the later stages of the day. A total of eight stages are planned for Saturday.

On Sunday, Carnhill joins the lineup, replacing Gartan. Meanwhile, fan favourites Atlantic Drive and Fanad Head will continue to provide the thrilling action that the Donegal Rally is known for.
