The results for the Leaving Certificate 2025 will be released on August 22, 2025
Students across Donegal are preparing to sit state exams from Wednesday, June 4.
In 2025, County Donegal is expected to have over 2,000 students sitting the Leaving Certificate exams, with a total of 4,787 students across all state exams (Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, and Junior Certificate).
This number includes 1,961 students in the Leaving Certificate and 216 in Leaving Certificate Applied, according to Donegal Daily. The results for the Leaving Certificate 2025 will be released on August 22, 2025.

For Leaving Cert students, English Paper 1 is the first written exam, with home economics taking place in the afternoon. Leaving Cert Applied students will have their English & Communication exam in the morning, and Social Education in the afternoon.
Junior Cycle students will also sit English first, followed by Religious Studies.
