A fundraising calendar has raised €25,561 for Donegal Down Syndrome.

The calendar was launched last November and sold at various outlets around the county, with all proceeds going towards Donegal Down Syndrome.

Some 47 models from Donegal Down Syndrome took part in the photoshoot for the calendar.

It includes inspirational quotes by people with Down Syndrome about difference and inclusion and interesting facts about what makes Donegal Down Syndrome members so special.

Donegal Down Syndrome thanked photographer Ann Marie Gillooley for doing a “fantastic job” capturing photos for the calendar.

The total contribution and calendar sales from The Cope Dungloe amounted to €3,625, which was presented to Donegal Down Syndrome in a cheque.

Donegal Down Syndrome thanked The Cope Dungloe, saying: “Without your support and drive, this would never have happened. We cannot thank you all enough.”

The Cope Dungloe posted: “We were more than delighted to work with Debbie Walker, her sister Ann Marie, and Debbie’s son Eddie on a fundraising project for Donegal Down Syndrome.

“Over the last six months, we have truly enjoyed working with this dynamic team to help raise much-needed funds.

“With the support of many local businesses, including Browne’s Printers, SuperValu Dungloe, and Gallagher’s Foodstore in Derrybeg, as well as families and supporters from across the county, we successfully sold these beautiful calendars.

“All the hard work truly paid off when a reprint of the calendar was needed ahead of the Christmas rush!
