Donegal Firefighters Association (DFA) have paid tribute to Letterkenny firefighter Norman Spratt on his retirement.

Norman is retiring after 25 years of service in Letterkenny.

The DFA posted: “Norman has been a pillar of calm under pressure, a steady hand in the most challenging of situations, and a friendly face that welcomed all who passed through the station doors. His unwavering commitment to the safety of our community and support for his fellow firefighters has left an indelible mark not only on Letterkenny Fire Service but across the entire Donegal County Fire Service.

“On behalf of the Donegal Firefighters Association and all your colleagues—past and present—we thank you, Norman, for your years of bravery, professionalism, and friendship. You will be truly missed on the drill yard, in the appliance bay, and most of all, in the crew room where your warmth and good humour always shone through.
