Our April - May edition of Donegal Life has hit the shelves and we are thrilled to bring you some delightful snapshots of what is happening around the county in arts, entertainment, dining, shopping and more.

Majella O’Donnell graces us with an honest and uplifting interview, sharing life’s trials and tribulations as well as its triumphs, and she tells us why Donegal has such a special place in her heart.

Her husband Daniel delights us by sharing his Seven Deadly Sins. What tickles the taste buds of the world-famous crooner, and what incurs his wrath? All is revealed in the pages of Donegal Life!

Director of An Grianan Theatre Patricia McBride shares her journey to the job. And in the first of our spotlight features on unsung heroes in communities across Donegal, we speak to Roisin Gallagher who channelled the grief of losing her parents to help provide much-needed support to people affected by the defective blocks crisis.

Áine Curran is buzzing with excitement on the latest developments at Donegal Bees, while Rossa Danagher of Rossano’s shares his passion for hairdressing. Jerusha Marley invites us into what must surely be one of the most beautiful shops in Donegal, and we travel to Fintown to meet ‘The Veneerist’ Ciaran McGill.

Ahead of his being honoured for his contribution to traditional music at Ardara’s Cup of Tae Festival, Kevin O’Donnell shares how taking the reins at Paddy Ward’s felt like a natural fit.

We sit down with Colin McKee, one of two executive chefs who helped make Biddy’s o’Barnes a massively popular dining destination, while Lough Eske Castle hosts a night of glitz, glamour and gourmet food at the Irish Hoteliers Federation Donegal Branch gala dinner.

We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed bringing it all together.
