The charity collects hair donations to create wigs for children and young people experiencing longer-term hair loss. At 18 months old, Aoibhinn was diagnosed with leukaemia and was offered a wig during her treatment. Having overcome the illness since, she wanted to help other children who are currently going through a similar experience, with Alice right by her side for support.
Along with cutting their hair, the twins are currently raising money for LauraLynn, which is Ireland’s only children’s hospice. So far, they have raised over €1,300 on iDonate on Aoibhinn and Alice McGowan's Fundraising page.
