Gardaí from Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit arrested the driver on Friday
A disqualified driver in the Letterkenny area will be facing the courts for drink driving after being found EIGHT times over the legal limit and having no insurance.
An Garda Síochána is currently conducting a major road safety operation throughout the St Brigid's Bank Holiday weekend.
Gardaí from Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit arrested the driver on Friday on suspicion of drink driving. The driver in question is disqualified and so their car was seized for having no insurance. A further test conducted back at the station established that the driver was 8 times over the legal limit. Court proceedings will follow.

"Never drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs," An Garda Siochana. "Slow down and drive safely this Bank Holiday weekend and always."
