There are plans for the development of 42 new apartments in Letterkenny.

Planning permission has been sought from Donegal County Council for the proposed development at Carnamuggagh Upper.

Developer Stephen Cassidy is seeking to demolish an existing derelict dwelling on the site.

The planning application provides for the erection of 42 apartments in two blocks.

One of the proposed blocks contains 28 apartments with 14 in a second block.

The application includes provision for storm water attenuation and all associated site works.

The local authority say that a decision on the application will be made by March 16, 2025.
