McGettigan Travel Ltd has issued a warning to a group who vandalised their bus and attempted to burn one of their drivers and start a fire last night.

The Letterkenny-based company has threatened to name and shame the group, who were on a pub tour if they don’t pay for all damages by the end of today, Sunday. McGettigan Travel also apologises to their driver, who they say was “absolutely terrified.”

“Last night, on a pub tour, our bus was badly vandalised (window broke, etc) by a group of young boys who rented the bus,” McGettigans posted. “These boys also attempted to burn our driver with lit cigarette butts while also throwing these lit butts at our dash trying to set the bus on fire.

“We are giving these men until the end of the day to pay for all the damage, or we will be naming the exact culprits. We also want an apology issued to our driver, who was absolutely terrified and did not deserve this threatening behaviour and abuse.”
