The driver of the ambulance was not in a position to stop to ascertain details due to the situation at hand

A driver who was involved in a minor collision with an on-call ambulance in Letterkenny has been asked to come forward. 

On Saturday, October 5, shortly before 6.10pm, a minor collision occurred between an ambulance and a white jeep at the Polestar roundabout. The ambulance crew were on an emergency call at the time and the lights and sirens were activated, as the wing mirrors of both vehicles collided.

The driver of the ambulance was not in a position to stop to ascertain details due to the situation at hand and he reported the matter to Gardaí as soon as possible afterwards. It is not known if any damage was caused to the jeep but An Garda Siochana wish to make contact with the driver to clarify this. “We ask them to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100,” a garda spokesperson said.
