The Cannonball Overland Adventure 4X4 road trip is coming to Donegal

The thrill of wild, rugged landscapes, breath-taking cross-country and coastal drives along the Wild Atlantic Way through Glenveagh National Park, warm friendly pubs and spirited traditional Irish music as autumn bequeaths her most vibrant hues, a gift of seasons past and a promise of seasons to come.  

The fourth annual Cannonball Overland Adventure sets off on November 15 and 16 to explore Donegal and its stunning rugged mountains, pristine lakes and beautiful beaches.  Donegal has it all, highlands and heather, fairy tale castles and far-out lighthouses, beaches galore, mysterious islands, art, culture and music and plenty of high stools in cosy pubs to combat those soft days. 

Home for the two nights is the beautiful Redcastle Hotel, nestled in the Inishowen Peninsula.  For lunch and dinner, participants will enjoy the very best fare that Donegal has to offer with excellent fresh seafood and mouth-watering flavours including the award-winning best chowder in Ireland.  The carefully planned Cannonball 4x4 route takes in magnificent mountain passes, wild coastal drives and majestic lakes all the while weaving through the famous picturesque towns and villages of Donegal.
