Gardai seized a large quantity of cannabis during a raid of a residence in the Letterkenny area recently.
Uniformed officers seized €24,000 worth of suspected cannabis and €7,000 cash when they swooped on the premises as part of Operation Tara.
One man was arrested during the search which was conducted on September 6.
The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland to undergo analysis.
The arrested man has since been released without charge.
“Investigations are ongoing,” a Garda spokesperson said.
“Gardaí are appealing for anyone who has information in relation to the sale and supply of controlled substances in Co. Donegal or the border region, to contact the Donegal Divisional Drugs Unit on 074 916 7100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
Operation Tara, an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy commenced in July 2021.
The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels, international, national, and local, involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production and local sale and supply of controlled drugs.
