Gardai in Letterkenny nabbed a drunk-driver after catching the motorist speeding on Monday morning.
Officers from the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit were conducting a speed check when they detected a vehicle travelling at 130km/h.
The road in question is governed by a 100km/h speed limit.
After the vehicle was stopped, the driver failed the roadside breath test and was arrested.
A garda spokesperson said: “A fixed charge penalty notice and a court appearance will follow.
“Never put yourself or others at risk on the roads. Please make responsible decisions and help save lives.”
