Brother and sister killed in Kilmacreannan accident to be laid to rest on Sunday

The incident occurred at 11:50pm on Wednesday night and it was later learned that the siblings - PJ McGettigan and his sister Una - both aged in their seventies, had passed away

A brother and sister who were tragically killed in a road traffic accident will have their funerals tomorrow, Sunday.

PJ McGettigan and his sister Una died following a two-car collision at Kilmacrennan.

The incident occurred at 11:50pm on Wednesday night and it was later learned that the siblings, both aged in their seventies, had passed away.

PJ of Fawns, Termon, was a retired psychiatric nurse and his is requiem mass will be held on Sunday, at 12 noon in St Columba’s Church, Termon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

It will be followed by the funeral of Una, of Gleneraugh, Carrigart. The service will be held in the Church of St John the Baptist at 3pm followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
