The Letterkenny jockey guided Green Triangle to a win at Roscommon.
Browne McMonagle steered Joseph O'Brien's mount to a routine win in the Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden. Browne McMonagle and Green Triangle showed that the tag of the pre-race 8/15 favourite was justified.
The Donegal man pushed on a couple of furlongs from home and had over four lengths to spare on J'adore Chris, a 7/2 shot ridden by Seamue Heffernan.
Browne McMonagle rode in Sunday's Irish Derby at The Curragh, finishing sixth aboard The Euphrates, a 22/1 chance trained by Aidan O'Brien.
Another O'Brien mount, Los Angeles, sent off at 13/8 under Ryan Moore, won the race.
