Mary Connor, Devlinreagh, Carrigart

The death has occurred of Mary Connor, Devlinreagh, Carrigart in Derby, England of Mary Connor, formerly of Devlinreagh, Carrigart.

Her remains will arrive at her home in Devlinreagh tomorrow, Wednesday June 12, at approximately 5pm to repose overnight. Funeral from there on Thursday going to the Church of St. John the Baptist for requiem mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Bernadette Boyle, Corgary, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Bernadette Boyle, Corgary, Ballybofey, F93 W628.

Peacefully at Beaumont Hospital Dublin, after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved daughter of the late Michael and Annie, much loved sister of Marion, Margaret, Patrick, Noel, Christopher, Kevin, Sharon, and the late Jacqueline. Deeply regretted and very sadly missed by her brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home on Tuesday June 11 from 12 noon. Funeral leaving from her home on Thursday June 13 at 10.20am for Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Family time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral please

Carmel Brennan, Monkstown, Dublin / Dunkineely

The death has occurred of Carmel Brennan, Monkstown, Co. Dublin and formerly Dunkineely, June 5, 2024.

Peacefully, in the care of the staff at Blackrock Hospice. Mother of Hannah and Gillen.

She will be sadly missed by her children, son-in-law Calum, sister Mary, sister-in-law Kathleen, extended family and friends.

A family funeral took place privately.

Gillian Gallagher-Lynch, Ballindrait

The death has taken place of Gillian Gallagher-Lynch, Tober, Ballindrait, Lifford.

Much loved mother of Corey, mother-in-law of Megan, dearly loved daughter of Muriel and Seamus Gallagher, loving sister of Sean, Damien, Brian, Shane, Gavin, Seamie and the late Donna and wife of the late Kevin.

Her remains are reposing at her home on Tuesday from 12 noon. Family time please from 10pm to 11am.

Funeral leaving her home on Thursday at 10.20am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick's Church, Murlog, Lifford at 11am with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Requiem Mass can be viewed live via the parish webcam

Joe Irwin, Killygordon

The death has taken place peaceeacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his loving family, of Joseph (Joe) Irwin, Ballyarrell, Killygordon, F93 H1RW.

Predeceased by his wife Rose, much loved father of Shaun, Angie, Elaine, Caroline, Chris and Joanne, dearest brother of Dessie, Seamus, and the late Eileen, Francis, Sadie and May.

HIs remains will repose at his late residence from 11am on Tuesday. Family time please from 10pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral leaving from there on Thursday at 1.30pm going to St Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon for Requiem Mass at 2pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live on the parish webcam.

Paul McElhinney, Dunfanaghy and London

The sudden death has taken place of Paul McElhinney, Portnablagh, Dunfanaghy and London. 

No wake, house private please.

Funeral service in St John’s Church, Ballymore on Thursday at 2 pm. Burial will take place afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu to St John`s Church Ballymore, c/o of any family member or James Harkin Funeral Director, Creeslough.

Bernadette Boyle, Ballybofey

The death has taken place of Bernadette Boyle, Corgary, Ballybofey, F93 W628. She passed away peacefully at Beaumont Hospital Dublin,after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Fuair Fíonán Mac Ruairí as Rann na Feirste, Ranafast, Donegal, F94 W772 bás tobann sa bhaile inné, 8ú Meitheamh.

Ar shlí na bhfírean roimhe tá a Athracha móra Antoin Neidí Mac Ruairí agus Joe Weir agus a mháthair mhór Evelyn Weir.

Maireann a mháthair agus a áthair Geraldine agus Aodh Mac Ruairí, a dheartháireacha; Odhrán agus Tiarnán, a mháthair mhór Margaret, uncail, aintíní, colceathracha agus gaolta eile agus cairde leis.

Dhéanfar a fhaire sa bhaile Dé Máirt agus Dé Céadaoin ón 11 a chlog ar maidin go ham paidrín ag a 8 a chlog.

Curfar é i Reilig úr Anagaire, Déardaoin, i ndiaidh Aifreann Tórraimh ag a 11 a chlog i dTeach Pobail Mhuire Réalt na Mara, Anagaire.

The sudden death has taken place at his home of Fíonán Mac Ruairí, Ranafast.

Predeceased by his grandparents Antoin Neidí Mac Ruairi and Joe and Evelyn Weir.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his parents; Geraldine and Aodh Mac Ruairí, brothers Odhrán and Tiarnán, grandmother Margaret, uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at his home on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am to 8pm, with Rosary nightly at 8pm. A shuttle bus will be in operation to the wake house from Johnny Den Mc Fadden's Garage. House private after the Rosary and on the morning of the Funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 11am in St Mary's Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, with interment afterwards in the New Cemetery, Annagry. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on Kieran Roarty Funeral Director's Facebook page.

Sandra Kee, Killygordon

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Sandra Kee, née Latta, Aveltygort, Killygordon, F93 Y184.

Loving mother of Charmaine (Enda), Leslie (Francais), Lorraine (Emmitt), Robert (Lorna) and Richard (Samantha). Sandra will be deeply missed and forever loved by her grandchildren, sisters, brothers and the wider family circle.

Her remains are repose at her home.

Funeral leaving from her home on Wednesday at 2pm for 2.30pm funeral service in St Anne’s Church, Monellan followed by burial afterwards in the family plot in Taughboyne Parish Church graveyard Churchtown, Carrigans (F93N124).

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Oncology Ward Letterkenny University Hospital care of Terence McClintock Funeral Director.

Jimmy Mc Kenna, Buncrana

The sudden death has taken place of James (Jimmy) Mc Kenna, 5 Logan Close, Luddan, Buncrana F93 Y018.

He will be sadly missed by his parents Michelle and James, his brother John Paul, his sisters Catherine and Caroline, brothers in-law Kevin and Seamus his granny Margret Reidy, his nieces Kate and Erin and extended family and friends.

Funeral leaving from his family residence on Wednesday at 9.15 am for Mass at St. Mary’s Oratory, Buncrana with burial afterwards in Cockhill Cemetery. Requiem Mass can be viewed online at www.churchservices.tv/buncrana

Mick Kennedy, Drumkeen

The peaceful death has taken place at his home of Michael (Mick) Kennedy, Convoy Road, Drumkeen F93 H6YA.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Kathleen, sons and daughters Jimmy, Michael, Tommy, Caroline, Brid, Rosie, Eileen, Mary, Noel, Margaret and Geraldine, brother’s Jimmy and Eugene and sisters Teresa and Joan, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, partners, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Mick is predeceased by his grandson Michael, brothers Thomas and baby Francis and sisters Philomena Dahill and Margaret West.

Mick's remains will repose at his late residence until 10pm on Tuesday, with Rosary both nights at 9pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral from there on Wednesday at 11.30am going to St Patrick’s Church, Drumkeen for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment will take place afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Family flowers only please. Donation in lieu of flowers, if desired, to the Donegal Hospice c/o any family member.

John Joe McElhinney, Newtowncunningham

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University hospital of John Joe Mc Elhinney, The Glebe, Roughan.

John Joe is predeceased by his brother Desmond. He will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his brother Fred and sister-in-law Sadie also his sister-in-law Betty, his nieces, nephews and his many cousins. He will be especially missed by his cousins Stanley and Eleanor and his great nieces Molly and Ruby. John Joe will be deeply missed by his many friends and neighbours.

His remains are reposing at the home of his niece Sharon and husband Rodney Johnston, Roughan, Newtoncunningham (F93AWT4). Family time please from 10pm to 11am.

Funeral service there on Wednesday followed by burial in the family plot in Newtoncunningham Presbyterian Church. 

Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired to Diabetes Ireland care of Sharon Johnston or Terence McClintock funeral director.

Rita Whelan, Dublin and Donegal

The death has taken place of Rita Whelan, née Burt, late of Donegal and Glenageary, County Dublin. She passed away peacefully in the tender loving care of Mary and Gillian and staff at Kinvara House Nursing Home Bray, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late John, Rita will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Paul and Fr Marc C.S.S.p, daughter Olwyn, daughter-in-law Margaret, son-in-law Michael, grandchildren Marc, Laura, Megan and Ben, great grandchildren Jack, Millie, Rian and Sophie, extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass takes place on Wednesday at 11am in The Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road Bray followed by private cremation. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on the parish webcam https://queenofpeace.ie
