The following deaths have taken place:

Charlie Doherty, Carnagore, Carrigart

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Charlie Doherty, Carnagore, Carrigart.

Funeral from his late residence on Friday morning, June 7 going to the Church of St John the Baptist for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Family time please from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the Funeral.

Charlie Deeney, Rathmullan

The death has occurred of Charlie Deeney, Inniskill, Rathmullan, F92 D2W8, June 4, 2024, peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Margaret, daughter Mairéad, son Cathál, sisters Winnie, Kathleen and Mary, brothers James and Packie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home. Requiem mass on Friday, June 7, at 11am in St Catherine’s Church, Oughterlin. Burial afterwards in Rathmullan Cemetery. Family time from 11pm until 11am.

Desmond (Dessie) McDaid, Hollymount, Carndonagh

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Desmond (Dessie) McDaid, Hollymount, Carndonagh F93E2NW. Loving husband of Grace, Beloved father of Louise and Shaun.

Funeral leaving from his home on Friday, June 7, at 10.20am, going to the Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh, for requiem Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in St Michael's Church cemetery, Urris, Clonmany.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Carndonagh Community Hospital c/o any family member. House private please from 10pm till 11am. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.carndonaghparish.com 

Desmond will be missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.

Ellen (Nellie) Stevens, Malin Head

The death has occurred of Ellen (Nellie) Stevens, Crossroads, Slievebawn, Malin Head at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by her loving husband Benny. Much loved mother of Gerard, James and Pauline.

Deeply regretted by hers sons, daughter, sisters, brothers, her four grandchildren Grace, Justin, Emily and Elodie, daughter-in-law Ciara, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Nellie's remains are reposing at her late residence.

Removal from there Friday morning, June 7 at 11.40am going to Star of the Sea Church, Malin Head for requiem mass at 12pm followed by burial in Lagg Cemetery.

Family time please from 11pm to 10am.

Mary McGowan (née McGoey), Kinlough

The death has occurred of Mary McGowan (nee McGoey), No. 3 New Houses, Kinlough and formerly of Augharooskey, Kinlough, Co. Leitrim and Raspberry Hill, Ballintrillick, Co. Sligo. June 4 2024, peacefully at Sligo University Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Bernie (Bernard) McGowan, daughter of the late Matthew and Brigid McGoey and sister of the late Charles and Patrick. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephew, grandnieces, grandnephews and all her relatives, neighbours and close friends.

Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday morning, June 6, at 11am in St. Aidan's Church, burial afterwards in St. Aidan's Cemetery, Kinlough.

Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Mary to The Irish Wheelchair Association care of donation box at House/Church or Breslin's Funeral Home, Bundoran.

Frances O'Donnell (née McElroy), Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Frances O’Donnell (née McElroy, Strabane) Drumlonagher, Donegal Town peacefully in Aras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Home, Mullanasole, Laghey, surrounded by her loving son Adrian and extended family.

Predeceased by her loving husband Eamonn and her son John.

Frances’s remains reposed in the Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Donegal Town, last evening.

Removal from Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Donegal Town, F94FX3A on Thursday morning at 10.30am for Funeral mass at 11am in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town with burial afterwards in Clar cemetery.

Family flowers only donations if so desired to St Vincent De Paul, Donegal Town.

Frankie Cavanagh, Moville

The peaceful death has occurred of Frankie Cavanagh, Ballynally Lane, Moville, F93H30V.

Predeceased by his loving wife Sally and his son Paddy RIP. Beloved father of Adrian, Jackie, Mark and Danny.

Sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Charlotte, grandchildren, great-grandchildren extended family, friends and neighbours.

Frankie's remains are reposing at his home.

Funeral from there Thursday June 6 at 10.30am going to Saint Pius X Church, Moville for requiem mass at 11am followed by burial afterwards in Drung Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the RNLI c/o any family member.

Seán Denis Maher, Meath and Bayview, Inishowen

The death has taken place of Seán Maher, Tailteann Close, Navan, County Meath, and formerly of Bayview, Inishowen.

Seán passed away after a long illness on May 28 in the presence of his loving family and in the kind care of the nursing staff at St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin.

Sadly missed by his mum Cecilia Quinn, his father Michael Maher, brothers Mike, Robert, Dillon, Patrick and Liam, his sisters MollyKate and Abbey, and extended family and friends. 

A ceremony of celebration of Seán’s life has taken place in private in accordance with Seán’s wishes.

Phil Kelly, Wexford and Ballyshannon

The death has taken place Phil Kelly, Parklands, Wexford Town, and formerly Taghmon, Wexford and Ballyshannon. 

Beloved husband of the late Bernadette and loving father of Marcella, Dolores, Paul and Fidelma. Sadly missed by son-in-law Jeffrey, Tom and grandchildren Marcus and Aoife, his loving family, relatives and friends.

Funeral arrived to St. Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon, last evening.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Irish Cancer Society at www.cancer.ie

Bríd Fitzpatrick, Malinbeg

The death has occurred of Brı́d Fitzpatrick, née Murrin, of Malinbeg, Glencolmcille, and Erith, Kent. She passed away on March 28 at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, Kent.

Beloved wife to Bernard, much loved mother to Paul, Anna (Thomas) and Susan (Tim), missed by all her grandchildren, Joseph, Libby, Moya, Áine, Conal and Gearóid, her sister Mary, her loving cousins Carmel and Geraldine, Mark her nephew and all of her many family and friends.

Her final remains shall be taken to St Columba's Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille, on Thursday for Funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed at https://mcn.live/Camera/st-columbas-glencolmcille
