The following deaths have taken place:

Teresa Kenny (née Coyle), Falcarragh

The death has taken place, at the Donegal Hospice, of Teresa Kenny (née Coyle), Ballyness, Falcarragh, originally of Drumnatinney, Falcarragh.

Predeceased by her husband Noel, brothers; James & John and sisters; Sally & Katie.

Sadly missed by her daughter Lisa, sons; Paul, Mark, Adrian, Colin & Ciarán, in-laws; Mary, Róisín, Susanne & Gerard, grandchildren; Rachael, Jamie, TJ, Charlie, Alan, Jason, Matthew & Patrick, sisters; Brigid, Nora & Mary and extended family & friends.

Her remains will repose at her home today Sunday from 4pm to 9pm and tomorrow from 11am to 9pm.

Rosary nightly at 9 pm. House private after rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon in St. Finian's Church, Falcarragh, interment afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, in lieu, to the Donegal Hospice.

Mary Martin Glasgow & formerly Townagorm, Barnesmore

The death has occurred peacefully after a short illness on May 17 at Golden Jubilee Hospital, Clydebank, of Mary Martin Glasgow & formerly Townagorm, Barnesmore.

Loving wife to the Late Joe Martin & much loved mum to Marie (Hugh), Joseph (Margaret), Dorothy (Stephen), Aisling (Graeme). Adoring proud granny to Francis, Martin, Paul, Ronan, Clare, Hannah, Emily, Aodhán & Rory.

Precious great-granny to Teidí. Sister of Christy Martin, London & Kathleen Donaghy, The Glebe, Donegal Town.

Mary’s remains will be waked on Friday, May 24 2024, from 2pm until 9pm, at the home of her daughter Marie Cassidy, Brookfield, Donegal Town, F94ERW0.

Mary’s remains will leave her daughter's residence on Saturday, May 25 2024, at 10.15am for funeral Mass at 11am in St Agatha’s Church, Clar, with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private on Saturday morning, please.

Martin Sweeney, Killygordon

The death has occurred of Martin Sweeney, Avaltygort, Killygordon, F93 Y6X8.

Beloved husband of Orla, much loved father of Carla, Jessica and Adam. Cherished brother of Mary, Ann, Noleen, Patricia and Seamus,Tony and predeceased brother Michael. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken wife,children, sisters, brothers, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces extended family and friends. 

Remains reposing at his late residence, Avaltygort, Killygordon on Tuesday, May 21, from 2pm. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, May 23, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church Crossroads, Killygordon at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Family time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

A one-way traffic arrangement will be in place for the duration of the wake.

Rosemary Moyne, Drumhaggart, Muff

The death has occurred of Rosemary Moyne, Drumhaggart, Muff at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents William and Margaret, her brothers Colm, Gerard and Martin, her sisters Margaret Gormley, Carmel Keating and Bridie Carroll. 

Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her brothers Liam and Sean, her sisters Cathleen Mullan and Ann Andrews, her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and her circle of friends.

Her remains will be reposing at her home on Sunday, May 19, from 12 noon where you are welcome to pay your respects.

Removal from there on Monday morning, May 20, at 10.15am to St. Patrick's Church, Iskaheen, for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Shane Mc Loone, Rosbeg, Portnoo

The sudden death has occurred of Shane Mc Loone, Rosbeg, Portnoo.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, his son Ben, mother Anne, father Pat and sister MaryRose. Sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Vera Doherty, Carndonagh

The death has occurred of Vera Doherty, Carrowreagh Road, Carndonagh, F93R8YR.

The death has taken place at Beech Hill Nursing Home, Buncrana of Vera Doherty, Carrowreagh Road, Carndonagh.

Predeceased by her loving husband Hugh and dear son Martin.

Sadly missed by her sons Anthony and Gabriel and her daughter Marie. Deeply regretted by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Her remains are repose at her home in Carrowreagh road.

Removal from there Monday May 20 at 10.30am going to Sacred Heart Church Carndonagh for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time please from 10pm to 10am.

Martin McNeela, Donaghmede, Dublin, formerly of Creeslough

The deaths has occurred of Martin McNeela, Donaghmede, Dublin, formerly of Creeslough, and late of The Irish Times, (Peacefully) Surrounded by his loving family at home, and supported by the dedicated staff of St. Francis Hospice Raheny. Beloved husband of Linda and loving father of Elaine and Kevin.

Very sadly missed by his wife, son and daughter, son-in-law Brian, grandson Con, brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, a large circle of friends and neighbours.​​​​​​

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock on Tuesday afternoon May 21 from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Donaghmede, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by Burial in Balgriffin Cemetery (New Extension).

Eddie Carr, Bundoran and Clonmany

The death has taken place suddenly and unexpectedly at his home, of Eddie Carr, Mountain View, West End, Bundoran, and formerly of Urris, Clonmany.

Eddie will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving family, wife Breedge, son Philip, daughters Aisling (Leon), Dervil (Ted) and Nicole (Colm), his beloved grandchildren Shanika, Holly, Danny, Cian, Callum and Emily, brothers James, Donald, Pat (Maree), Charlie (Rose), and Philip (Agnes), sister Delia (Gerry) and all his many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Daniel and Theresa Carr.

Reposal of his remains continues at Breslin's Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran F94E92F on Saturday  from 4pm to 8pm.

Removal on Monday morning from the residence of his daughter Nicole, 7 Ellesmere Court, Dinglei Coush, West End, Bundoran at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in St Ninnidh's Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran. Eddie's Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.magheneparish.ie

As Eddie was a huge supporter of Donegal GAA, the Carr Family would be most grateful should you wish to wear the green and yellow colours on both the visitation at the funeral home and the Mass or along the route of the cortege on Monday.

Sarah Dornan, Glasgow and Annagry

The death has taken place of Sarah Dornan, née O’Donnell-Jimmy Sheámuis, of Glasgow, originally of Loch na nDeorán, Annagry.

Sarah’s remain will repose at her home Teach Jimmy Sheámuis in Loch na nDeorán, F94 Y2Y4 with Rosary nightly at 8pm. House private please on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 11am in St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, F94 K022, with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on Kieran Roarty Funeral Director’s Facebook Page.

Barry Mc Laughlin, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Barry Mc Laughlin of Luton, Bedfordshire, England and formerly of Clar, Donegal Town. Barry passed away suddenly on April 21 in the L&D Hospital, Luton.

Predeceased by his father James, he is sadly missed by his children, Chantelle and Danny, his mother Geraldine, sisters Siobhan (Eamonn) Arlene (Jay) and brothers Seamus and Sean (Melanie), nieces and nephews and extended family.

A memorial service has taken place in London.

Celebration of Life on Wednesday, May 29 from 10am to 10.30am at St Agatha's Church, Clar, Donegal Town can be viewed on the parish webstream.
