The following deaths have taken place:

Vera Doherty, Carndonagh

The death has occurred of Vera Doherty, Carrowreagh Road, Carndonagh, F93R8YR.

The death has taken place at Beech Hill Nursing Home, Buncrana of Vera Doherty, Carrowreagh Road, Carndonagh.

Predeceased by her loving husband Hugh and dear son Martin.

Sadly missed by her sons Anthony and Gabriel and her daughter Marie. Deeply regretted by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Her remains are repose at her home in Carrowreagh road.

Removal from there Monday May 20 at 10.30am going to Sacred Heart Church Carndonagh for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time please from 10pm to 10am.

Martin McNeela, Donaghmede, Dublin, formerly of Creeslough

The deaths has occurred of Martin McNeela, Donaghmede, Dublin, formerly of Creeslough, and late of The Irish Times, (Peacefully) Surrounded by his loving family at home, and supported by the dedicated staff of St. Francis Hospice Raheny. Beloved husband of Linda and loving father of Elaine and Kevin.

Very sadly missed by his wife, son and daughter, son-in-law Brian, grandson Con, brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, a large circle of friends and neighbours.​​​​​​

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock on Tuesday afternoon May 21 from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Donaghmede, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by Burial in Balgriffin Cemetery (New Extension).

Church of the Holy Trinity, Donaghmede

Roseann McBride, Portsalon

The death has occurred of Roseann McBride, Ardglass, Portsalon. Peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital. Sadly missed by all her family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at her late residence. Requiem Mass will be held at St. Columba's Church, Massmount at 1pm on Sunday May 19, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. Rosary at 9pm.

James Noone, Carndonagh

The peaceful death has occurred of James Noone, 5a Ard Chlocar, Carndonagh, F93P031 and formerly of Cloontagh, Clonmany.

Husband of Mary and father of Seamus and Arlene. James is survived by his sisters Teresa, Mena, Elish, Shiela, Marlyn and his brother Marty.

Predeceased by his parents Eddie And Josie sister Kathleen, Brothers Eammon and Nelis.

Funeral from his late residence on Sunday morning at 10.30am going to St. Mary's Church, Clonmany for Requiem Mass at 11.30 am with interment afterwards in the new cemetery.

Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired to the Mental Health & Diabetic Association C/o any family member.

Martin Bonner, Galway, Kerry and Doochary

The death has occurred of Martin Bonner, Corrandulla, County Galway, formerly of Killarney, County Kerry and Doochary. He passed away peacefully at University Hospital Galway after a long illness.

Predeceased by his parents Joe and Annie, he is very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family, extended family and friends.

Martin's remains will repose at Naughton's Funeral Home, Knock, Inverin, County Galway, H91 AF40, on Sunday from 3pm to 6pm.

Cremation and Funeral Mass will take place privately at the request of the deceased.

Brian Doherty, Raphoe and Manorcunningham

The death has taken place  in the tender loving care of his family and the staff of the Donegal Hospice, of Brian Doherty, Oakfield, Raphoe and formerly of Galdonagh, Mannorcunningham.

Dearly beloved husband of Colette, devoted father of Nicole, Lauren, Brian, Patrice, Megan, Mary-Kate, Alanna and Steven, precious brother of Belinda and very special uncle of Leza.

Reposal of Brian’s remains continues at his home on Saturday between 12 noon to Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral leaving his late home on Sunday at 2.30pm for Requiem Mass at 3pm in St Eunan’s Church, Raphoe followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers to Donegal Hospice, Knocknamona, Letterkenny.

Eddie Carr, Bundoran and Clonmany

The death has taken place suddenly and unexpectedly at his home, of Eddie Carr, Mountain View, West End, Bundoran, and formerly of Urris, Clonmany.

Eddie will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving family, wife Breedge, son Philip, daughters Aisling (Leon), Dervil (Ted) and Nicole (Colm), his beloved grandchildren Shanika, Holly, Danny, Cian, Callum and Emily, brothers James, Donald, Pat (Maree), Charlie (Rose), and Philip (Agnes), sister Delia (Gerry) and all his many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Daniel and Theresa Carr.

Reposal of his remains continues at Breslin's Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran F94E92F on Saturday  from 4pm to 8pm.

Removal on Monday morning from the residence of his daughter Nicole, 7 Ellesmere Court, Dinglei Coush, West End, Bundoran at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in St Ninnidh's Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran. Eddie's Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.magheneparish.ie

As Eddie was a huge supporter of Donegal GAA, the Carr Family would be most grateful should you wish to wear the green and yellow colours on both the visitation at the funeral home and the Mass or along the route of the cortege on Monday.

Mary Gallagher, Letterkenny

The sudden death has occurred of Mary Gallagher, Gortlee, Letterkenny. 

Marys' remains will repose at Marleys Funeral Home, Derry Road, Drumany, Letterkenny, F92 FR1X on Saturday from 3.30pm until removal at 4.30pm to St Eunan's Catherdal, Letterkenny to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny.

Sarah Dornan, Glasgow and Annagry

The death has taken place of Sarah Dornan, née O’Donnell-Jimmy Sheámuis, of Glasgow, originally of Loch na nDeorán, Annagry.

Sarah’s remain will repose at her home Teach Jimmy Sheámuis in Loch na nDeorán, F94 Y2Y4 from 6pm Saturday evening, with Rosary nightly at 8pm. House private please on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 11am in St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, F94 K022, with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on Kieran Roarty Funeral Director’s Facebook Page.

Barry Mc Laughlin, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Barry Mc Laughlin of Luton, Bedfordshire, England and formerly of Clar, Donegal Town. Barry passed away suddenly on April 21 in the L&D Hospital, Luton.

Predeceased by his father James, he is sadly missed by his children, Chantelle and Danny, his mother Geraldine, sisters Siobhan (Eamonn) Arlene (Jay) and brothers Seamus and Sean (Melanie), nieces and nephews and extended family.

A memorial service has taken place in London.

Celebration of Life on Wednesday, May 29 from 10am to 10.30am at St Agatha's Church, Clar, Donegal Town can be viewed on the parish webstream.
