Attendees can look forward to a vibrant fusion of blues, roots, and folk music, showcasing a wide array of talent and musical styles.

Amongst the exciting artist announcements already made are the internationally acclaimed blues powerhouse, Crow Black Chicken, and the soulful Canadian troubadour, Doc MacLean. Joining them are a host of renowned acts, including Sam Davidson’s Taste, Banshee Band, Delta Fuse, Mr Castle Blues Band, The Mark Black Band, The Davy K Project, Zac Mac, Eoin Glackin, Strawman, Blues Confidential, Lot Quarante Neuf from France, The Mafia Cats, Stone Cold Hobos, Blues Katz Blues Band, and Joan Talbot & Jazz Gazette, among others.

The festival will also showcase beloved local favourites such as High Heeled Converse, Belisha Beacons, Red Neck Hillbillies, Le Pompe and by now the infamous Mindbenders, adding a vibrant and distinctive local flavour to the lineup.

"We are thrilled to be back for the fourth year of the Letterkenny Blues and Roots Festival," said the festival organisers. "This year, we are proud to present an exciting lineup of artists from different corners of the world, offering music lovers a unique and eclectic experience that celebrates the rich tapestry of blues and roots music. There will be a lot of live music on the street throughout the Saturday 6th from midday so we encourage locals and music fans to get into Letterkenny to support the festival and catch up with the vibes all day.”

With a mission to showcase both established and up-and-coming talent, the festival promises to deliver an immersive and diverse musical experience for attendees of all ages. From soulful blues melodies to foot-stomping folk tunes, the festival aims to cater to a wide range of musical tastes.

In addition to the exceptional musical performances, festival-goers can also enjoy the charming town of Letterkenny, renowned for its hospitality and vibrant cultural scene, making it the perfect backdrop for this celebration of music.

Join us on July 4, as we kick off the Letterkenny Blues & Roots Festival with "A Night for DD - Delta Boys and Friends." This special evening is dedicated to celebrating the life, art, and music of Dermot Donohue, who sadly passed away in 2023. A beloved local photographer and one of the founding members of the festival.

The event will take place at the Radisson Hotel at 8pm and will feature a captivating display of Dermot's art and photography, providing a unique insight into his creative vision. In addition to the art exhibition, there will be an exciting auction to raise funds for the Donegal Hospice who provided Dermot with such amazing care in his last few months and all to MND research.

This unforgettable evening is not just a tribute to Dermot, but a celebration of the vibrant arts and music community that he helped cultivate. As we gather to honour his legacy, we will also be treated to live music performances by the Delta Boys and other talented friends of Dermot.

Don't miss this opportunity to come together and pay homage to a remarkable individual while supporting a worthy cause. "A Night for DD - Delta Boys and Friends" promises to be an inspiring and memorable start to the Letterkenny Blues & Roots Festival. We look forward to seeing you there for an evening of art, music, and heartfelt remembrance.
