The following deaths have taken place:

- Brı́d Fitzpatrick (née Murrin), Glencolmcille

- Denis Curran, Carrigart

- Kathleen Broderick, Offaly / Donegal

- Shiela Doherty (Billy), Carndonagh / Clonmany / Nottingham

Patsy Canning, Portsalon

The death has occurred of Patsy Canning, Greenfort, Portsalon. Peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted by his brothers John and his wife Niamh (Dublin), Martin and his wife Bernie (Letterkenny) and his sister Brigena and her partner John Kelly (Rathmullan).

Sadly missed by his aunties Nana Mc Ginley (Kerrykeel), Mary Mc Mahon (Dublin), Annie Boyle (Stranorlar) and Grace Fahy (Dublin) and his much loved nieces and nephews Cian, Reah, Carrie, Dara, Bethany, Dayna, Matthew, Lucia and John, his extended family, neighbours and many many friends.

Reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny from 6pm until 8pm today, Wednesday May 1.

A wake will be held at Patsy's late residence (Greenfort, Portsalon) from 12noon on Thursday May 2.

Requiem Mass will be held at St. Columba's Church, Massmount on Friday, May 3 at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed on the Mc Ateer Funeral Directors Facebook Page.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired to the Coronary Care Unit at Letterkenny University Hospital c/o any family member.

Brı́d Fitzpatrick (née Murrin), Malinbeg, Glencolmcille

The death has occurred of Brı́d Fitzpatrick (née Murrin) of Malinbeg, Glencolmcille and Erith, Kent on March 28 2024, at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, Kent.

Beloved wife to Bernard, much loved mother to Paul, Anna (Thomas) and Susan (Tim), missed by all her grandchildren, Joseph, Libby, Moya, Áine, Conal and Gearóid, her sister Mary, her loving cousins Carmel and Geraldine, Mark her nephew and all of her many family and friends.

Her removal take place on May 9 at 4pm and followed by her funeral mass on May 10 at 10.30am in Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church Franciscan Friary, Carlton Road, Erith, DA8 1DN.

This will be followed by cremation in Eltham Crematorium, Crown Woods Way, London SE92AZ.

Her final remains shall be taken to Ireland for a funeral Mass and Burial on June 6 at 11am in St. Columba's Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille.

Donations in lieu of flowers to Macmillan cancer support as the family found their help and support invaluable during their Mum's cancer journey.

Denis Curran, Carrigart

The death has occurred of Denis Curran, Glen, Carrigart at the Donegal Hospice.

Denis is survived by his loving wife Susan. his adoring sons DJ, Barney and Maxi, his brothers Charlie, Liam, Peter, Brendan and Kevin, his sisters Eileen, Bridie, and Margaret, and predeceased by his brother Seamus and sister Mary.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family and friends.

His remains are reposing at his late residence in Glen.

Funeral from there today, Wednesday, May 1, going to the Church of St. John The Baptist for requiem mass at 11am followed by interment beside his infant son Shane in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Broderick, Offaly / Donegal

The death has occurred of Kathleen Broderick (née McGlinchey) "Killynure", Arden Road, Tullamore, Offaly / Donegal.

Peacefully at home. Predeceased by Paddy Broderick, Danny McLoughlin and her daughter Noëlle.

Kathleen will be sadly missed by her loving family Brendan, Mary and John, daughters in law Madeleine, Sharon and Bríd, son in law John, grandchildren Jonathan, Timothy, Caolán, Theo, Enda, Leon and Ciarán, her sister Bríd Ward (Gortahork), brother in law Michael, sister in law Elsie, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at O'Reilly's Funeral Home, Harbour Street, Tullamore (R35 FC84), on Wednesday from 5.30pm until 7.30pm, with Rosary at 7pm.

Removal on Thursday morning at 9.40am to St. Colmcille's Church, Durrow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial after Mass in Clonminch Cemetery, Tullamore. House Private, Please.

Tony Duffy, Fanad

The death has occurred of Tony Duffy, Ardglass, Portsalon, Fanad and formerly Leixlip, London, Corby and Glasgow. Peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his first wife Martina, brother Cathal and sister Brid Devenney.

Deeply regretted by his wife Margaret and her children Kevin and Adelle, sister Marian Mc Conigley and brother Jermaine. Sadly missed by nephews and nieces Richard, Kathleen, Marie, Thomas, James, Martin, Sheila and James, his extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at the home of his nephew Richard Duffy in Aughadaughley, Portsalon, Fanad.

Requiem Mass will be held at St. Columba's Church, Massmount on Thursday, May 2, at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

The Requiem Mass will be live streamed on the McAteer Funeral Directors Facebook Page. Rosary at 9pm.

Shiela Doherty (Billy), Carndonagh / Clonmany / Nottingham

The peaceful death has occurred in Nottingham, England of Shiela Doherty (Billy), formerly of Cregnahorna, Carndonagh and Adderville, Clonmany and Woodthorpe, Nottingham.

Beloved wife of the late Pat Doherty (Billy). Mother of Tony, Anne, John and Neil, daughter in laws, Breda and Avril, son in Law Des, grandmother of Helen, Neil, Sarah, Jessica, Megan, Ronan and Alana, great grandmother of Jackson, Frankie and Phoebe.

Survived by her sisters Tessie, Kathleen and Anna-Rose. Much loved by her surviving family in Clonmany and Nottingham.

Requiem Mass took place on Tuesday in the Good Shepherd Church, Woodthorpe, Nottingham.

Her remains will be reposing at her late residence in Adderville, Clonmany, F93 EH97 until 11pm on Wednesday, May 1.

House private from 11pm. One way system in operation.

Funeral from there on Thursday morning, May 2 at 10.15am going to St Mary’s Church, Clonmany for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
