Denis Curran, Carrigart

The death has occurred of Denis Curran, Glen, Carrigart at the Donegal Hospice.

Denis is survived by his loving wife Susan. his adoring sons DJ, Barney and Maxi, his brothers Charlie, Liam, Peter, Brendan and Kevin, his sisters Eileen, Bridie, and Margaret, and predeceased by his brother Seamus and sister Mary.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family and friends.

His remains are reposing at his late residence in Glen.

Funeral from there today, Wednesday, May 1, going to the Church of St. John The Baptist for requiem mass at 11am followed by interment beside his infant son Shane in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Broderick, Offaly / Donegal

The death has occurred of Kathleen Broderick (née McGlinchey) "Killynure", Arden Road, Tullamore, Offaly / Donegal.

Peacefully at home. Predeceased by Paddy Broderick, Danny McLoughlin and her daughter Noëlle.

Kathleen will be sadly missed by her loving family Brendan, Mary and John, daughters in law Madeleine, Sharon and Bríd, son in law John, grandchildren Jonathan, Timothy, Caolán, Theo, Enda, Leon and Ciarán, her sister Bríd Ward (Gortahork), brother in law Michael, sister in law Elsie, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at O'Reilly's Funeral Home, Harbour Street, Tullamore (R35 FC84), on Wednesday from 5.30pm until 7.30pm, with Rosary at 7pm.

Removal on Thursday morning at 9.40am to St. Colmcille's Church, Durrow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial after Mass in Clonminch Cemetery, Tullamore. House Private, Please.

Tony Duffy, Fanad

The death has occurred of Tony Duffy, Ardglass, Portsalon, Fanad and formerly Leixlip, London, Corby and Glasgow. Peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his first wife Martina, brother Cathal and sister Brid Devenney.

Deeply regretted by his wife Margaret and her children Kevin and Adelle, sister Marian Mc Conigley and brother Jermaine. Sadly missed by nephews and nieces Richard, Kathleen, Marie, Thomas, James, Martin, Sheila and James, his extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Removal from The Eternal Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny on Tuesday, April 30, at 4pm going to the home of his nephew Richard Duffy in Aughadaughley, Portsalon, Fanad. Requiem Mass will be held at St. Columba's Church, Massmount on Thursday, May 2, at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

The Requiem Mass will be live streamed on the Mc Ateer Funeral Directors Facebook Page. Rosary both nights at 9pm. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to The Oncology Ward at Letterkenny University Hospital c/o and family member. House private from 11pm to 9am. 

Shiela Doherty (Billy), Carndonagh / Clonmany / Nottingham

The peaceful death has occurred in Nottingham, England of Shiela Doherty (Billy), formerly of Cregnahorna, Carndonagh and Adderville, Clonmany and Woodthorpe, Nottingham.

Beloved wife of the late Pat Doherty (Billy). Mother of Tony, Anne, John and Neil, daughter in laws, Breda and Avril, son in Law Des, grandmother of Helen, Neil, Sarah, Jessica, Megan, Ronan and Alana, great grandmother of Jackson, Frankie and Phoebe.

Survived by her sisters Tessie, Kathleen and Anna-Rose. Much loved by her surviving family in Clonmany and Nottingham.

Requiem Mass took place on Tuesday in the Good Shepherd Church, Woodthorpe, Nottingham.

Her remains will be reposing at her late residence in Adderville, Clonmany, F93 EH97 (Billys) from 11am to 11pm on Wednesday, May 1.

House private from 11pm. One way system in operation.

Funeral from there on Thursday morning, May 2 at 10.15am going to St Mary’s Church, Clonmany for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

James Given, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of James Given, Cully, Donegal Town, F94 AWY2, peacefully at home.

Sadly missed by his loving Mum Mary, Dad Francis, son Stephen and partner Agnes. Deeply regretted by his bothers Thomas (Georgina), William (Bernie), David (Charlene) and sister Caroline (Adrian), nieces, nephews and extended family.

Reposing at his late residence last evening until 9pm.

Funeral service in Laghey Parish Church at 2pm Wednesday May 1, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to Letterkenny University Hospital Oncology unit, care of any family member.

House strictly private on the morning of the funeral please.

Denis Curran, Carrigart

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Denis Curran, Glen, Carrigart.

His remains are reposing at his late residence.

Funeral from there on Wednesday, May 1 going to the Church of St John the Baptist for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time please on the morning of the Funeral.

Ellen Dixon, Falcarragh

The sudden death has taken place, in Letterkenny University Hospital, of Ellen Dixon, Ballintemple, Falcarragh, F92 YT67, and formerly of Middle Keeldrum, Gortahork.

Predeceased by her parents Mary and Michael, her sisters Mary and Nan and her brother Hughie, she is survived by her husband John, daughter Angela, sisters Breid, Madge and Kathleen and brother Danny, in-laws, nieces, nephews and a circle of family and friends.

Her remains are reposing at her residence. House private on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from there on Wednesday for 11am Requiem Mass in St Fionan's Church, Falcarragh, F92 X302, with burial afterwards in Gortahork Cemetery.

Frances Duffy, née McGuigan, Letterkenny 

The peaceful death has occurred at her home of Frances Duffy, née McGuigan, 44 McNeely Villas, Letterkenny F92 ET9X.

Deeply missed by her loving sons Joseph and wife Deborah, Gabriel and wife Joan, daughters Mary, Amanda and husband Bob, grandchildren Ronan, Conor, Ciara, Ruairí, Jessica, Evan, Oisin and Grace, brother Noel McGuigan (Letterkenny) and sister Bernadette Sweeney (Creeslough), nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Frances is predeceased by her husband James (Farmer).

Frances’ remains reposed at her late residence. Family time after Rosary last evening.

Funeral from there on Wednesday at 10.15am going to St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny Interment will take place afterwards in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny.

Sean Lang, Ballyshannon and Sligo

The death has occurred of Sean Lang, Rossnowlagh Road, Ballyshannon and formerly of Sooey, Ballygawley, County Sligo.  He passed away peacefully at his residence, in his 91st year, surrounded by his caring family.

Predeceased by his sister Maura and brother Padraig; deeply regretted by his wife Vera, son Andrew, daughter Sarah, daughter-in-law Olga; much-loved by his grandchildren Erin, Eabha, and Amelia and sister Sheila.

House strictly private, please.

Funeral to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon, on Wednesday for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Cremation will take place at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan at 2.45pm. The Funeral Mass shall be streamed live on St. Patrick's Church Page at www.churchservices.tv/Stpatricksballyshannon

Maureen McGettigan, Dublin and Donegal

The death has occurred of Maureen McGettigan formerly Flood, née Geoghegan, Clontarf, Terenure, Knocklyon, Dublin and Donegal. She passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff at Craddock House Nursing Home, Naas, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Michael and loving mother of Laura, Karl, Brian, Justin and the late Paul. Maureen will be very sadly missed by her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Margaret and Nora, brothers John Philip and Michael, the McGettigan family in Donegal, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Funeral on Wednesday, with Requiem Mass at 10am in The Church of Our Lady and St David, Naas, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium.

Danny O'Donnell, Derrybeg

Fuair Danny Joe Ó Dónaill as an Choiteann, Doire Beaga ach gur as Oileán Ghabhla ó dhúchas dó, bás in Áras Ghaoth Dobhair inniú.

Curfar é i Reilig Mhachaire Gathlán , Dé Céadaoin, i ndiaidh Aifreann 11 a chlog sná Doirí Beaga.

The death has taken place, in Áras Ghaoth Dobhair, of Danny O'Donnell, Cotteen, Derrybeg, originally of Gola Island.

Predeceased by his parents Joe and Maggie, sadly missed by his sisters Máire and Nora, brothers Michael and Patrick and extended family and friends.

His remains reposing at his home. House private on the morning of the funeral.
