Donegal Funeral Notices

The following deaths have taken place:

- Joe Curley, Magherard, Malin

- Bridie Cullen (née Gallagher), Donegal Town / Ballintra / London

- Jimmy Foody, Letterkenny

- Alec Kerr, Ramelton and Termon

- Joe O'Gorman, Bundoran

Joe Curley, Magherard, Malin

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Joe Curley, Magherard, Malin.

Joe will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his cousin, Margaret McCole, his nieces and nephews, wider family circle, many friends and neighbours.

Joe's remains are now reposing at the home of Margaret McCole, Magherard, Malin F93 H2P7 where everyone is welcome to pay their respects.

Funeral from there on Friday, April 12, at 10.30am for 11am Funeral Mass in St Patrick's Church, Aughaclay, with burial after in the adjoining graveyard. Rosary both nights at 10pm.

Bridie Cullen (née Gallagher), Donegal Town / Ballintra / London

The death has occurred of Bridie Cullen (née Gallagher), 28 Orchard Drive, Donegal Town and late of Ballintra, and London at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Billy (2018) and brothers John and Bernie (Mary) and sisters Mary-Alice, (Jim) and Margaret (Benny).

Much loved Mother of John (Emelena), daughter Siobhan (Johnny), loving grandmother to Jack, Megan, Emmet, Sophia, William, and Alice. Will be sadly missed by her brothers Pasty (Claire) Gerard, much beloved sisters Vera (Thomas), Roseleen, Kathleen (Davy) Rip, nieces and nephews and extended family.

House private to family only please. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am in St Bridget's Church, Ballintra with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Jimmy Foody, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Jimmy Foody, 13 Mountain View, Ballaghderg, Letterkenny. Sadly missed by his wife Anne, brother Anthony, nieces, nephews and brothers-in law. Pre-deceased by his brother Sean.

His remains will repose at his home. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, April 10, at 11am in St Eunan's Cathedral, burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery. Funeral mass can be viewed on the St Eunan’s cathedral parish web cam at www.churchservices.tv./Letterkenny

Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Leukaemia Research care of any family member or Bradley O'Doherty Funeral Directors. House private from 10pm to 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

Alec Kerr, Ramelton and Termon

The peaceful death has occurred of Alec Kerr, Ramelton, at Lakehouse Nursing Home, Portnablagh and formerly of Ballyare, Ramelton and Drumaboden, Termon.

His remains will be received into Leiter Presbyterian Church, Kilmacrennan on Tuesday, at 7pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Service on Wednesday at 2pm followed by interment in the adjoining burial ground.

Deeply regretted by his family circle, relatives and many friends.

Joe O'Gorman, Bundoran

The death has occurred of Joe O'Gorman, The Hollow, East End, Bundoran. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Forever missed by his sister Anitta, brother Frankie, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandniece, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

His remains are reposing at the family home The Hollow, East End, Bundoran.

Removal from the family home on Wednesday morning at 10.30am to arrive at our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Bundoran for 11am funeral mass. 

Interment will take place afterwards in St. Ninnidh's Cemetery, Bundoran. The funeral mass can be viewed live on www.magheneparish.ie
