Donegal is forecast to have bright spells and showers following for the rest of the day
Donegal is in line for a bright Easter Sunday, although there is still a chance for showers, according to Met Éireann.
Outbreaks of rain will clear northwards this morning, with bright spells and showers following for the rest of the day. Showers will be heaviest and most frequent in the south and west with the chance of hail and thunder. Maximum temperatures ranging from 11 to 14 degrees in moderate to fresh east or southeast winds.
On Sunday night, showers will affect eastern and southern areas at times. Largely dry conditions in the west and north with some clear spells and just the odd shower. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees, coldest in the north with moderate easterly breezes.
Further showers on Monday with more persistent rain affecting the Midlands and East at times. The best of any bright or sunny weather on Monday is likely in Atlantic coastal areas. Highest temperatures generally range from 9 to 12 degrees but are a little cooler along Irish Sea coasts due to fresh onshore easterly winds.
