The peaceful death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Domnick Boyle, Stracastle, Glenties, F94RF74.

Predeceased by his wife Madge and son pheilm, brother John and niece Julia. Sadly missed by his daughter Mary, sons Eamonn and Patrick, daughter-in-law Debrah , grandchildren Bridgid, Evan and Merideth.

Domnick's remains will repose at Shovlins Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara, on Wednesday (March 27) from 4pm with removal at 5.30pm going to his late residence. Removal from his home on Friday morning, March 29, to St. Connell's Church, Glenties, for funeral service at 11am with interment afterwards in the local cemetery. Family time on both nights from 11pm until 10am.

Majella Gibbons, Westown, Malin Head

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Majella Gibbons, Westown, Malin Head, F93W2D1.

Predeceased by her father Owen and mother Kathleen.

Sadly mourned and will always be remembered by cherished daughter Katie, son in law Christy, granddaughter Margaret Grace, her brothers John, Colm and Peter, her sisters Margaret and Cathy, brother in law Brian, her cousin Patrick and her nieces and nephews.

Removal from Eternal Light Chapel of Rest Letterkenny at 4pm today Wednesday going to her home.

Removal from her home Saturday morning at 11.30am to Star of the Sea Church for funeral liturgy at 12pm followed by burial afterwards in Lagg cemetery.

House private from 10pm to 11am please.

Winnie Sweeney (née Strain), Kincasslagh

The death has occurred of Winnie Sweeney (née Strain), Rannyhual, Kincasslagh in Letterkenny University Hospital, Sadly missed by her husband Eamon, sons Patrick and Michael, daughters Kelli and Katie and all her extended family.

Her remains will repose in Mc Glynn's Funeral Home, Dungloe, on Wednesday March 27 from 2pm until 8pm with Rosary at 6pm, and on Thursday from 2pm until Rosary at 8 30pm, followed by private removal to her home in Rannyhual. Funeral service at 11am on Friday in St Mary's Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, with interment in the New Cemetery.

House is private, please, on the morning of the funeral.

Brendan Carron, London and formerly Letterkenny

The sudden death has occurred in London of Brendan Carron formerly of "Fatima" Glencar, Letterkenny.

Predeceased by his parents Vincent and Mary. Deeply regretted and fondly remembered by his sons Vincent (London), Brendan (London), daughters Roisin, (Dan) Kent, Nicola (Letterkenny), sisters Geraldine, (Danny) Falcarragh, Fidelma (Letterkenny), Donal, (Deborah) Headford, grandchildren, Aunt Margaret (Dublin), nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins and many friends in Donegal and London.

Kenny Lynagh, Milford

The death has occurred of Kenny Lynagh, Moyle Hill, Milford, March 26, 2024, suddenly at his home. Deeply regretted by his adored son James, loving mother Mary, sister Marie, brothers John, Dessie and Damian, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his father Jim.

John Mc Daid, Buncrana

The sudden death had occurred in Liverpool of John Mc Daid, 19 Loch View, Buncrana.

Beloved son of Tina and Henry, brother of James and Michelle and the late Baby Gary. Beloved fiancé of Navi. John will be sadly missed by his grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

John will be reposing at his family home from Thursday March 28 from 2pm. Funeral from there on Sunday March 31 at 12pm going to St. Mary’s Oratory, Buncrana for 12.30pm requiem mass with interment afterwards in Cockhill Cemetery.

Philomena (Mena) McEwen, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place of Philomena (Mena) McEwen in her loving family home at 6, Oaklands Park, Letterkenny on 25th March, 2024. Beloved wife of the late John, much loved mother of Geraldine, Seamus, Noreen (deceased), Eileen, Roisin, Kathleen and Sean. Deeply regretted by her sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchild, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Mena will be reposing at her home, 6, Oaklands Park, Letterkenny, (F92 TH5W) on Wednesday, March 27 from 12pm to 10pm.

The death has occurred of Eugene Mc Ginley, Ashbourne, Meath / Lifford, peacefully at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his grandson Connor. Loving husband of Geraldine and dear father of Niamh, Ciara and Aisling. Sadly missed by his family, his adored grandchildren, Liam, Caoimhe, Saoirse, Cillian, Ardan and Dara, sons-in-law Alan, Cormac and Mark, brother Pat, sister Mary, sisters-in-law Anne and Eleanor, brothers-in-law Gerard and Richard, nieces, nephews, relatives and his many good neighbours and friends.

Removal on Thursday morning to The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Ashbourne, arriving for Liturgy of the Word at 12 noon, followed by Cremation Service in Dardistown Crematorium at 1.30 pm. The death has taken place at The Donegal Hospice of Eileen McTeague, Derryart, Creeslough, formerly of Helensburgh, Scotland surrounded by her loving family. Beloved mother of Noreen Frost, Jim, Patrick and Michael. Much loved mother in law, grandmother of seven and extended family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Jim McTeague.

The death has occurred of Danny Gallagher, Beefpark, Mountcharles, F94 XT6V, following a long illness, surrounded by his loving family on his 84th birthday.

Predeceased by his son Gerald, his wife Dympna, his brothers Paul & Colm and his sister Sally. Sadly missed and forever cherished by his daughters Marion, Sharon (Pat) and Niamh, his son Daniel, his sister Mary Dympna, his brother Eddie, nieces & nephews, extended family & friends.

Remains will be reposing at his late residence (eircode F94 XT6V) on Wednesday, March 27, from 2pm until 8pm. Removal from there on Thursday March 28, going to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles, for 11am funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

The death has occurred of Paddy Carlin, Castlefin Park, Castlederg, Co Tyrone and formerly of Alt Lower, Castlefin.

Peacefully, March 25 2024 RIP. Husband of Betty, much loved father of Deirdre, Seán (Edel), Bernadette (Brian), Seamus, Paul (Jackie), Kieran (Diane), Damien (Gaynor), Liam (Colette and the late Theresa) and Eamonn (Orla), loving granddad of Ryan, Lee, Claire, Michael, Shannon, Eimear, Willis, Malachy, Mariesa, Grace, Matthew, Shane, Peter, James and Daniel and great-granddad of Ellen, Grace, Logan, Maisie, Mia, Tadgh and the late Lilly, cherished son of the late Sarah.

Reposing at the home of his daughter Deirdre, 56, Castlefin Park, Castlederg.

Funeral from Deirdre's home on Wednesday, March 27, at 1.30pm for Requiem Mass at 2pm in St. Patrick's Church, Castlederg. Interment afterwards in St. Columba's Churchyard, Doneyloop.

The death has occurred in Letterkenny University Hospital of Dermot Peoples, 280 Ard Baithin, St Johnston.

Dermot will be lovingly missed by his brother Patrick, sisters Kathy and Eva, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Dermot will be reposing at his late residence. Wake is private to family and friends at the request of the deceased.

Funeral cortege will be leaving at 10.30am on Wednesday March 27 from his late residence 280 Ard Baithin’s, St Johnston going to St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Peter Kyle, Barnesmore

The death has occurred  in the loving care of his family, of Peter Kyle at his home in Ardatole, Barnesmore, Donegal.

A loving husband to Anne and caring father to Damien, Paul, Barry, Adrian and Martina. Peter will be greatly missed by his nine grandchildren, beloved sister Helen and all of his extended family and friends.

His remains reposeding at Tir Conaill Funeral Home, Donegal Town followed by private removal to his residence. House strictly private to family only. 

Funeral from there on Wednesday morning at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am in St Agatha’s Church, Clar, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The sudden death has taken place at her home of Annmarie Devenney, Moness, St Johnston, F93WF24.

Sadly missed by her hearbroken mother Margaret; much loved sister of Sarah and partner Alan, brother Derek and uncle Davy, nephews Alan, Joseph and Gary.

Her remains reposing at her home.

Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday at 1.30pm for 2pm funeral service in Taughboyne parish Church Carrigans followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard.

Ann McBride (née Mather) Ardee, Louth / Carrigart

Ann McBride (née Mather), Moorehall Rise, Ardee, Co. Louth and formerly of Carrigart. Peacefully in Moorehall Lodge, Ardee on Monday, March 25 2024.

Ann will be sadly missed by her loving husband Jimmy, her sons and daughters Martin, Paul, Áine and Fiona, her nine cherished grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her brother John and sisters Irene and Sinéad, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and good friends.

Ann reposed at Finlay Funeral Home, Tierney Street, Ardee, Co Louth, Eircode A92 TW68. Removal on Wednesday to St. John the Baptist Church, Carrigart, Donegal arriving for 5pm. Funeral Liturgy on Thursday at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Bernadette Doran, Newtowncunningham

The death has taken place at her home of Bernadette Doran, 1 Colehill, Newtoncunningham.

Predeceased by her mother Bridget, father William, brothers Joe and Frank, sisters Mary, Margaret and Theresa and also baby son Paul. Beloved wife of John, loving mother of daughters Fiona (Kevin) and Josephine (Declan), sons Jonathan (Tanya), William (Sinead) and Declan. Cherished grandmother of her 13 grandchildren. Bernadette will be greatly missed by her sisters Annie and Josephine and brother Billy, her wider family circle and friends.

Her remains reposing at her daughter Fiona and son-in-law Kevin’s home at Gortree, Newtoncunningham, F9329HD. Rosary at 8.30pm. Family time please from 10pm and on the morning of the funeral. 

Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday at 10.15am for 11am Requiem Mass in All Saint’s Church Newtoncunningham followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard. 

John Ward, Raphoe and Galway

The sudden death has occurred in Brindley Manor Nursing home, Convoy of John Ward, Magherahan, Raphoe, and formerly Errisbeg, Roundstone, County Galway and London.

Lovingly missed by his daughter Bernadette and son-in-law Ladd, his sister Mary and brother Patrick. His niece Leigh, nephews Declan and Stephen and all his extended family and friends. John was predeceased by his wife Monica and his parents Percy and Margaret and young brother Jimmy, may they all rest in peace.

Funeral took place on Tuesday morning with Requiem Mass at St Eunan’s Chapel, Raphoe. Afterwards the Funeral cortege travelled to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Roundstone, County Galway to repose overnight.

Following 10am Mass on Wednesday, burial will take place in Gurteen Cemetery, Roundstone, County Galway.

Gerry Sweeney, Falcarragh

The sudden death has occurred of Gerry Sweeney, Clonbara, Falcarragh, Donegal, F92 E866, Glasgow and Ray.

Predeceased by his parents Bella and James. Sadly missed by his loving wife Aisling Sweeney (nee Duggan), daughter Shannon, son James, brothers Manus, John, Michael and sister Marie, mother-in-law Rose and father-in-law Seamus, sister-in-law Lorraine and brother-in-law Martin, nephews Jamie and Christopher, niece Melissa and all his extended family and friends.

His remains are reposing at his sister-in-law Lorraine Duggan's home in Clonbara, Falcarragh F92 E866 on Tuesday, from 12pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm. Family time after the rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

The sudden death has occurred at her home of Donna Dorrian, née Marley, Monellan, Crossroads, Killygordon, F93 CFK2.

Beloved wife of Cathal, much loved mother to Barry, and Paul, cherished sister of the late Patrick, Winnie, Chris, Celine, and Jean, dearly loved grandmother to Róise, Dara, Grace, Adam, Sarah, and James; Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons, daughters in law Sandra and Anita, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Lorna Kelly, Letterkenny

The death has taken place of Lorna Kelly, North Kensington, London and 1 Ashleigh Close, College Farm Road, Letterkenny in St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London.

Lorna is forever loved and cherished by her heartbroken parents Eunan and Jenny, her brother Luke and her sister Helen. Lorna is sadly missed and will never be forgotten by her close circle of wonderful friends, her aunties and uncles, Cathy and Tom (Scotland) Peter (Dublin), Rachel (Dublin), JG and Anne (Letterkenny), Jim and Theresa (Letterkenny), Martin and Mary (Letterkenny), her much loved cousins and extended family, her colleagues from the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare and the Palace of Westminster, London and her beloved cat CP.
