Met Éireann has forecast a drizzly Mother’s Day for Donegal, although there is a possibility of coastal flooding.
They say there will be some bright spells in the west at first today, Sunday, but another mostly cloudy day overall with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle.
The rain will be persistent at times in the east. Patchy mist and hill fog too. Top temperatures of 7 to 9 Celsius in mostly moderate east to northeast breezes, which will be stronger at times near windward coasts. Again, coastal flooding is possible due to unusually high tides.
Tonight will continue mostly cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Patches of mist and hill fog too. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 Celsius with easterly winds decreasing mostly light overnight and becoming variable in places. Coastal flooding is possible due to unusually high tides.
Tomorrow, Monday will be mostly cloudy with patchy mist and further outbreaks of rain and drizzle. A clearance to bright spells and a few showers will develop in the west towards evening. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 Celsius with light variable breezes. Once again, coastal flooding is possible due to unusually high tides.
