Counting in the Family and Carer Referendums is almost complete at the count centre in Letterkenny's Aura Centre.

All ballot boxes have been emptied, and it certainly looks like being a strong No on both counts.

There is still a marked absence of local representatives, though a small number of No campaigners are present at the count.

Nationally, the government has conceded defeat in both referendums. Here in Donegal, a formal annoucnement is not expected until such time as the result has been announced nationally. This is expected to take place in late afternoon.
