The following deaths have taken place:

Maeve Magee (née Kyles), Cois Locha, Gweedore Road, Dungloe

Joseph (Joe) Gallagher, Wexford and formerly Convoy

Eamonn Paul O'Connor, St Johnston / Derry City, Derry

Mary Herron (retired N.T.), Welchtown, Ballybofey

Lucy Mc Geehan, Castlederg / Manorcunningham

Bridie Hasson, Malin Head and formerly Derry 

The death has occurred of Bridie Hasson, Lowerbraghey, Malin Head, F93D950 and formerly Derry.

Beloved wife of Frank (predeceased), much loved mother of Martin and John. Dear sister of Jimmy and Mary.

Deeply regretted by her sons, sister, brother, daughters-in-law, her five grandchildren Oisin, Aoife, Niamh, Owen and Lauren, extended family, friends and neighbours. May Bridie Rest In Peace.

Removal from Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Letterkenny today March 4 at 3.30pm going to her late residence.

Funeral from there Wednesday morning at 10.20am to St. Mary's Church Lagg for 11am requiem mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please.

Samuel Kelso, Killyclug, Letterkenny

The death had occurred in the Donegal Hospice of Samuel John Kelso known as SJ, Killyclug, Letterkenny.

Sadly missed by his loving wife May, much loved Father of Pauline (Robert), Anna-Maria (Owen), Samuel (Karen), grandchildren Stephen, Christopher, Natalie, Mathew, Holly and Harry, great grandchildren Marlow and Isla.

Funeral service in the family home on Wednesday March 6 at 2pm with burial afterwards to Gortlee Cemetery.

House strictly private at the request of the deceased.

Family flowers only with donations in lieu to the Donegal Hospice c/o any family member or Con Mc Daid Funeral Director.

Maeve Magee (née Kyles), Cois Locha, Gweedore Road, Dungloe

The death has occurred of Maeve Magee (née Kyles), Dungloe and formerly Howth, Co Dublin. Maeve passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the care of the staff of Dungloe Community Hospital on Sunday March 3, 2024.

Much loved mother of John, Brendan, Brian (predeceased), Martin, Derek, Stephen, Niamh and Alan. Beloved grandmother of Michelle, Karl, Kellyann, Adam, Ben, Lily, Oisin, Conor, Fiachra, Malachy, Jack, Darcy, Loghan, Arwen and Fiadh. Deeply regretted by her family, twin sister Bridget, brothers Joe and Paddy, son and daughters in law, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. May she Rest in Peace.

Reposing at McGlynns Funeral Home Dungloe on Monday evening March 4 from 5pm to 8pm with Rosary at 7pm.

Removal on Wednesday morning, March 6, to the Church of the Assumption, Howth, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery.

Joseph (Joe) Gallagher, Wexford and formerly Convoy

The death has occurred of Joseph (Joe) Gallagher, Clonjordan, Ballindaggin / Enniscorthy, Wexford and formerly Convoy.

Beloved husband of the late Ellen (nee O’Brien) and loving father of Joe & Caroline and the late Paul & Dessie. Dearly loved brother of Hugo, Madeline, Marie & Philomena and the late Fonsie & Billy.

Sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, son-in-law Kevin, brother-in-law Joe (O’Brien), sister-in-law Mary, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Crosbie’s Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10am with removal at 10.30 am to St. Colman’s Church, Ballindaggin for Funeral Mass at 11 am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Eamonn Paul O'Connor, St Johnston / Derry City, Derry

The death has occurred of Eamonn Paul O'Connor, Maymore, St Johnston, F93 HKV5 / Derry City, Derry on March 3, 2024, at the Donegal Hospice.

Beloved husband of Karen, much loved father of Ciaran, Thomas, David, Steve, Kim and Rory, dearly loved grandfather of Beth, James and Lucy and brother of Margaret, Frank and Ann.

Reposing at his home. Funeral leaving his home on Tuesday March 5 at 10.20am for Requiem Mass in St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughter, brother, sisters, grandchildren and family circle.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Mary Herron (retired N.T.), Welchtown, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Mary Herron (retired N.T.), Welchtown, Ballybofey, F93 E138. Peacefully at the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny, surrounded by her loving family, in her 95th year.

Beloved wife of the late Tommy, and much loved mother to Seamus (Rose), Carmel (Yuksel), Helen (Tom), Patricia (John), John (Katrina), and Angela (Seamus), cherished sister of Pat (Jean), Eddie (Annie), Noreen (Michael) also the late John, Mick and Brigid.

Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, brothers, sister, sons in law, daughters in law, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Pray For Her.

Remains reposing at her late residence. Funeral leaving her home on Tuesday March 5 at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin at 11am. Lucy Mc Geehan, Castlederg / Manorcunningham

The death has occurred of Lucy Mc Geehan 3, Elmwood Green, Castlederg, Tyrone, BT81 7GY / Manorcunningham.

Peacefully at The Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Belfast, March 2, 2024 aged 11 years.

Much cherished daughter of Lynne and Paul, loving sister of Tony, much loved granddaughter of Bridie and Willie Mc Geehan, Thomas and Bernie Gamble and Uel Gibson and the late Maggie, dearest niece of Patrick Mc Geehan, Joyce Gamble, Wendy Lynch, Nicola McKay, Kerrie Gibson and the late Gary Gibson.

Reposing at the family home. Funeral from the family home on Tuesday March 5 at 11.20am for Mass of The Angels at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church, Castlederg.

Interment afterwards in Castlederg New Cemetery.
