Ford Transit van 16-foot car transporter stolen in late night Letterkenny raid

A 16-foot car transporter was stolen during a late-night raid in Letterkenny, with gardai particularly interested in a blue Ford Transit van spotted at the scene.

The van was seen at carpark on the Pearse Road at approximately 00.20am on Monday, February 26, where the occupants stole a 16-foot  ‘Brian James’ C4 car transporter before leaving the area. This followed an earlier incident that occurred 15 minutes beforehand at the rear of the Retail Park stores. 

The blue Ford Transit van with a partial registration of ‘JLZ’ entered the area and the occupants stole a quantity of food trays from there.

“We appeal to anybody who may have been in the area of the Retail Parks, the Pearse Road or the general Letterkenny Town area between 11.30pm and 1am and who had a dash cam to make the footage available to Gardaí,” a spokesperson said. “If anybody observed this van in the area with or without the trailer we also ask them to make contact with us in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.
