Liam Cassidy, Celbridge, Kildare and formerly of Kilmacrennan
The death has occurred of Liam Cassidy, Celbridge, Kildare and formerly of Kilmacrennan. February 18, 2024 peacefully but suddenly at home.
Beloved husband of Anne née Cullen and dear devoted father of Lisa, Aoife and Clare. Predeceased by his sister Margaret. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, brothers Vincent, Roger and Martin, sisters Ann, Bridget and Christina, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his residence on Thursday evening (February 22) between 3 pm and 7 pm. Removal on Friday morning (February 23) to St. Patrick’s Church, Celbridge arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 am followed by burial in Barntown Cemetery, Co. Wexford. Margaret (Greta) Cole, Galdonagh, Manorcunningham
The peaceful death has occurred of Margaret (Greta) Cole, Galdonagh, Manorcunningham, F92CK88 in the wonderful care of St Eunan’s Nursing Home Letterkenny, surrounded by her loving family.
Greta is predeceased by her beloved husband John and daughter Sally Devir also her son-in-law Jim McKnight, Johns partner Eileen McLaughlin and two granddaughters Natasha Melaugh and Nicole McLaughlin. Greta will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Josie Cole, Margaret Steele (Ernie), Mary McKnight, Geraldine Gallagher (Willie), Heather Melaugh (Paddy) her son John Cole and son-in-law John Devir, also her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Her remains reposing at her late residence. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday February 22 at 1.15pm for 2pm funeral service in Newtoncunningham Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard. Family time please on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only donations in lieu to St Eunan’s Nursing Home comfort fund care of any family member or Terence McClintock Funeral Director.
Chris Toye, Lower Mount Marian, Milford
The death has occurred of Chris Toye, Lower Mount Marian, Milford, February 19, 2024, suddenly. Deeply regretted by his loving mother Kate and John, son Jack, brother William, sisters Kate, Lauralee and Rosalind, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his father Paddy and brother Mark.
Reposing at the residence of his mother Kate Toye, 11 Grey Rock, Milford, from 1pm tomorrow, Wednesday, February 21. House private to family and close friends.

Edwin Patton, Knock, Ballybofey
The death has occurred, at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Edwin Patton, Knock, Ballybofey, F93 D43F. Beloved husband of Margaret and much loved father to Anne (Damian), Edwin (Christina), Martin (Michaela), Kevin (Rachel) and the late Theresa, dearly loved grandfather to Jason, Ryan, Jack, Jamie, Joey and Emily, cherished brother of John, Margaret, Marion, Kathleen, Olive, Jean and Elizabeth. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughter, brother, sisters, grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Remains reposing at his late residence from 6pm on Wednesday February 21. Funeral leaving from there on Friday, February 23, at 10.15am for Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill, at 11am.

Sadie Arnold, formerly Curraghamone and St. Vincent’s Close, Ballybofey
The death has occurred at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Stranorlar of Sadie Arnold, formerly Curraghamone and St. Vincent’s Close, Ballybofey. Beloved wife of the late Tony and much loved mother to Tony (Kathleen), Brigid (Eugene), John (Noreen). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Remains reposing at Mc Cool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey on Wednesday February 21 from 5pm to 10pm. Rosary at 9pm. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday February 22 at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar. Interment in Drumboe Cemetery. Charlie McGinley, Letterkenny
The death has occurred of Charlie McGinley, 8 Iona Road, Letterkenny, (F92 KHN8), school master, artist and fiddler originally from Rann na Feirste. Survived by his wife Eileen, his five daughters and four sons, eighteen grandchildren and his sisters, Róisín and Margaret.
Reposing at his late home from 12pm until 9pm on Wednesday, February 21 with Rosary each night at 9pm. Funeral from there on Thursday, February 22, going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed live at https://www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.

The death has taken place at her home of Antoinette Boyce (née Doherty), Gulladuff, Moville.
Antoinette’s remains are reposing at her home.

The death has taken place peacefully at his home of Billy Doherty, Whitecastle Quigleys Point.

Service of Thanksgiving will take place at his home at 1.30pm on Wednesday followed by removal at 2pm for burial in the family plot in Redcastle Burial Ground.

Caroline Dickson, Fahan and Derry
The death has occurred of Caroline Dickson, F.R.I.A.I., R.I.B.A., of Fahan and Derry City. She died at Buncrana Community Hospital after a short illness.
Predeceased by her parents Christine (née Dunne) and Peter Dickson. A much loved cousin, fondly and sadly missed by her many friends, colleagues and her beloved Fahan community.
Removal to St Mura’s, Church of Ireland, Fahan, arriving 2.30pm on Thursday.
Joe Doherty, Carndonagh
The death has taken place at University Hospital Galway of Joe Doherty (Jack), Malin Road, Carndonagh. F93YXR2.
Beloved husband of Mary, and much-loved father of Caroline, Maria, Joanne, Bernadette and John. Deeply regretted by his daughters, son, sisters, brothers, grandchildren and extended family.
His remains are reposing at his home. House private please from 10pm until 11am.
Funeral leaving there on Wednesday at 10.30am going to Sacred Heart Church Carndonagh for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Joe’s Requiem Mass can be viewed live on the parish webcam.
