Conor Bradley, the 20-year-old Liverpool full-back with Donegal connections, sadly lost his father Joe this morning.
Joe Bradley, 58, who was a businessman who ran Derg Commercials, had been ill for some time.
“One Conor Bradley,” posted Liverpool FC’s official social media accounts. “Liverpool FC is deeply saddened by the passing of Conor’s father, Joe, today. The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Conor and his family.”
The news comes just three days after Conor Bradley’s first Liverpool goal, in a player of the match performance in the 4-1 win over Chelsea at Anfield in the Premier League.
Former Finn Valley AC athlete Conor Bradley scored his first Premier League goal and was named Man of the Match as Liverpool defeated Chelsea 4-1 at Anfield on Wednesday night. Bradley, who hails from just outside the village of Killeen in west Tyrone, ran with Finn Valley Athletic Club as a teenager.
