Mary Doherty (née Patton) Upper Dromore, Letterkenny
The death has occurred of Mary Doherty (née Patton) Upper Dromore, Letterkenny F92 E2YR at her home on Monday January 29, 2024.
Deeply missed by her loving sons Niall, Peter, PT, Tommy and Jim (Sligo) and daughters Isobel (Sligo) and Elaine (Sligo), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers Peter, Tommy, Jim and Paddy and sister Peggy Tourish, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.
Mary is predeceased by her husband Paddy and baby Helen, sisters Rose, Bella McGinley, Rosaleen McGee, Rita Duddy and Ethna Boyle.
Mary’s remains will be reposing at her late residence on Wednesday, January 31, from 2pm until 10pm and on Thursday, February 1, from 2pm until 10pm. There will be a shuttle bus operating from Jim Patton’s home, Trimragh F92 E9DV from 6pm each evening.
Celebration of Mary’s life and prayers will take place at the family home on Friday, February 2, followed by interment in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny, at a time to be confirmed.
Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to the Palliative Care Team, Donegal Hospice c/o any family member.
Maeve Nee, Ballyness, Falcarragh
The peaceful death has occurred of Maeve Nee, Ballyness, Falcarragh, F92 C7Y4 and formerly of Baltoney, Gortahork in Letterkenny University Hospital. Survived by her sister Bernadette, her nephews Micheal and Sinead, Mairtin, Pádraig and her great niece Saoirse and a circle of family and friends.
Maeve's remains will repose at her late residence in Ballyness today Tuesday January 30 from 11am till 8pm. Funeral from there on Wednesday January 31 for 11am requiem mass in Christ the King Church, Gortahork F92 DP86 with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery. Gerard (Gerry)(Ger) Monaghan, Hollymount, Claremorris, Mayo / Dunkineely
The death has occurred of Gerard (Gerry/Ger) Monaghan who passed away suddenly Sunday morning.
Deeply adored and missed by his parents Joey and Rosaleen (McCabe), sons Sean and Kieran and their mother Margaret, his sisters Kaz and Michelle, Sharon and his many friends, extended family and neighbours.
Remains reposing at his parents residence (Loughmult F94 XF80) Tuesday and Wednesday from 3pm until 9pm with Rosary at 9pm on both nights.
Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in The Church of St Joseph and St Conal, Bruckless followed by burial in Ballintra Cemetery.

Molly Guy, née Caffrey, Sandyford, Dublin and Lifford
The death has occurred of Molly Guy, née Caffrey, Sandyford, Dublin and Lifford.
She passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Joseph and much-loved mother of Hugh.
Sadly missed and remembered by all her family, brothers Tony, Gerard, Brian, Kevin and Patrick, sister Una, brother-in-law John, sister-in-law Mary, daughter-in-law Michelle, nephews, nieces, grandchildren Molly and Darragh, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Molly will repose at JP Ward and Sons Funeral Home, Sandyford Village on Wednesday, January 31, from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Thursday, February 1, to St. Mary’s Church, Sandyford Village arriving for 11am Mass, followed thereafter to Glencullen Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Kevin Donaghy, Darney, Bruckless.
Sadly missed by his loving wife, Wendy, of 61 years, children Natasha (Alex), Tristan (Anne), Marcus (Anne), Meriel (Bill) and grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Mc Brearty’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30 from 4pm to 6.30pm with removal afterwards to Dublin, body being donated for medical research. “The dead teach the living.” House private please.
A celebration of Kevin’s life will take place in St.John’s Church Killybegs on Friday, February 2 at 12noon.

The death has occurred of Benny Porter, Letterkenny Road, Lifford, F93 Y8NT.
Lovingly missed by his wife Isobel, sons and daughters Brendan, Bernie, Martin, Barry, and Nicola, his 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, his brothers Dennis and Hugo and all his extended family and friends.
Benny was predeceased by his parents Sarah and Dennis, sister Molly, brother Jim and baby Sarah.
Benny will be reposing at his late residence in Lifford all day Tuesday.

The death has occurred in the Donegal Hospice of Michael Melly, Cullion, Leitir Mac a’ Bhaird and formerly from Fintown.
Michael’s remains reposing in McGlynn’s funeral home and will be removed to his own house on Tuesday, January 30 in Leitir Mac a’ Bhaird where family and neighbours are welcome.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 31 at 12 noon in St. Bridget’s Church, Leitir Mac a’ Bhaird with interment afterwards in Cill Bhríde cemetery.
House is private on the morning of the Funeral.

Rosary both nights at 8pm.

The death has occurred of Winifred Mullarkey, Rathmines, Dublin and Bundoran. Beloved sister of Ann, Edward, Evelyn, Tom, Kathleen and Jim, sister-in-law of David and Holly and aunt of Seán, Clare, Niamh, Mia, Jodie, Anna, Sarah and Eddie.
She will be sadly missed by her loving family, relatives and friends.
