Ramelton could get a housing boost with the green light given for the completion of a housing development in the town.
Donegal County Council has granted conditional planning permission to Glenmac Developments Limited.
The local authority has granted permission for the completion of a development previously approved.
This includes the construction of a further 43 houses and associated site works at Ballyboe, Ramelton.
The application also includes connection to the foul sewer network including a foul effluent pump station, existing access through Coylin Court housing estate and proposed pedestrian and cycle link to Bank Terrace road.
The planning permission is subject to 29 conditions set down by the Council, relating to orderly development, the preservation of the amenities of the area, proper planning and traffic safety.
The developer must also pay the sum of €60,000 as a special contribution in respect of upgrade works and improve safety for pedestrian/vulnerable road users along the R245.
The applicant must also pay a contribution, totalling €28,469.85, in respect of public infrastructure and facilities benefiting development.
