Mary Gallagher, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of Mary Gallagher, née Canty, Old Road, Mountcharles, Donegal, F94C9W9

Predeceased by her husband Brian and her sister Pauline; deeply regretted and sadly missed by her daughters, Susan and Nicola, sons in-law Sean Dowling and Brendan Chambers, grandchildren Sofie, Ellie, Abbie, Odhran, Sadhbh, Ailbhe, Oisín and Caoimhe, grandson in-law Liam Kennedy and great-granddaughter Riley, her brother Joseph Canty, extended family, relatives and friends.

Her remains will continue reposing at her late residence on Sunday from 2pm until 9pm.

Removal from there on Monday, going to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles, for 2pm Funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Alyssa Thompson, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Alyssa Thompson née Callan, The Glebe, Letterkenny F92 V04X.

Deeply missed by her husband Adrian, daughters Shannon and Alexis, son Christopher, Shannon’s partner Conor Diver, mother Bernadette Callan (Loughagannon), brothers and sisters Geralyn, Hugo, Michaela, Shane, Siobhan, Ianthe, Aaron, Patrick, Louis and Justin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Alyssa is predeceased by her father Jim and her sister Jacinta Gibson.

Alyssa’s remains will continue reposing at her late residence on Sunday from 11am until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm. House private on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral from there on Monday at 10.30am going to The Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on their YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/@churchoftheirishmartyrs4657 Interment will take place afterwards in Conwal Cemetery. 

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Cuan Mhuire Addiction Treatment Centres Ireland, c/o any family member.

Maura Boyle, Inver

The death has occurred peacefully of Maura Boyle, Killian, Inver. She died at Letterkenny University Hospital, after a short illness.

Deeply regretted by her partner, Sonny Ward, her brother, Bernard (Jean) and her sisters, Una Hamilton (Billy) and Anne McErlean (Derek). Forever loved by her nieces and nephews, Amanda, Barry, Jason, Donna, Ciara and Colin and their partners, grandniece and grandnephews.

Her remains will continue reposing at Gallaghers Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles, F94X02N on Sunday from 3pm until 9pm.

Funeral Mass in the Church ot the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses on Monday at 11am followed by private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Cllr Noreen Mc Garvey, Dungloe

The death has taken place of Cllr Noreen McGarvey. Noreen passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of the Donegal Hospice.

Sadly missed by her daughter Amy, parents Susie and Seamus, brother Declan, sisters Debbie and Colette and her wide circle of extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at Mc Glynns Funeral Home Dungloe (F94ND68) on Saturday from 12 noon until Rosary at 8pm and again on Sunday from 12 noon with Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in St Columba's Church Acres with interment in Belcruit Cemetery. Mass can be viewed on https://mcnmedia.tv/Camera/st-columbas-church

Séan Murphy, Killybegs 

The death has occurred of Séan Murphy, Castlecommon, Killybegs. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, his son Ronan (Denise), daughter Mairéad (Trevor), son Enda (Natalie), adoring grandchildren Cara, Ava, Amelia, Alfie, Séan and Lily, brothers Peter and Paul, sister Maria, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Removal on Sunday at 10.30am to St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs, for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial will take place afterwards in the local cemetery. 

Madge Sweeney, Manorcunningham

The death has occurred in St Joseph’s Community Hospital of Madge Sweeney, Galdonagh, Manorcunningham. 

Madge will be lovingly missed by her sister Katie, sister-in-law Mary, nieces Annemarie and Patricia, nephew Hugh and all her extended family and friends.

Funeral leaving Kelly’s Funeral Home at 1.20pm on Sunday, going to St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston for 2pm Requiem Mass, with burial afterwards in St Columba’s Church Cemetery, Drumoghill.

Patsy Curran, Manorcunningham and Derry

The death has taken place of Patrick Joseph (Patsy) Curran, Errity, Manorcunningham and formerly London and Derry.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Ann, daughters Marie and Caroline, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters and brother, and extended family, friends and neighbours.

Funeral from his daughter Caroline Boyle’s home at Errity, Manorcunningham F92 VF95 on Sunday at 11.30am going to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham for 12.30pm Requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/newtowncunningham Interment will take place afterwards in St Columba’s Church Cemetery, Drumoghill.

Walter Konkolewski, Bruckless

The death has occurred of Walter Konkolewski, Darney, Bruckless.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Shiela and extended Barry family, relatives and friends.

His remains reposed overnight at the church of St Joseph and St Conal, Bruckless.

Funeral Mass on Sunday at 1pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Frank Dorrian, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Frank Dorrian, Holloway, London, unexpectedly at his home.

Devoted father of Charlotte, beloved brother to Gerald, Katherine, James and Elaine, and beloved brother-in-law to Marie. Sadly missed by his four nieces and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his loving parents Frank and Margaret, née Doherty, of Ballyshannon and London.

His remains will be reposing at his home, 13 Melchester House, Wedmore Street, Holloway, London on the evening of January 11.

Funeral leaving from there for 10am Requiem Mass on January 12 at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Eden Grove, Holloway, London with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Aiden Garvin, Letterkenny and London

The sudden death has occurred in London of Aiden Garvin, formerly of "Mulroy", Glencar Road, Letterkenny. 

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Una, he is deeply regretted and remembered with love by his partner Caron, London; sister Anne (Tim), Galway; brothers Declan, Dublin; Kevin, (Deirdre), Dublin; and sister Mary, Letterkenny; nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and his wide circle of friends in Donegal, London and beyond.

Owen Gallagher, Eastbourne and Inver 

The death has occurred of Owen Gallagher of Eastbourne, United Kingdom and formerly of Binbane, Inver.

He will be sadly missed and loved by his daughters Catherine and Ciara, his son Michael, his five grandchildren, his sister Nan and his brothers Paddy, Manus, Peter and Gerry.

Anna Gallagher, Churchill and Glasgow

The death has taken place in Glasgow Scotland of Anna Gallagher (nee Duggan) formerly The Lodge, Glendowan, Churchill.

Predeceased by her husband Hugh, she is sadly missed by loving son Jim and partner Elaine, relatives and friends.
