An Garda Síochána in Letterkenny have paid their best wishes to John Harkin, who has retired following 40 years of service. 

“It truly is the end of an era at Letterkenny Garda Station - today as we bid farewell to Garda John Harkin from the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit,”  Garda Síochána Donegal posted. 

“John has served for 40 years, 37 of which were spent in the Donegal Division and three in the Sligo/Leitrim Division. We wish John all the very best in the future and we hope that he and his family have good health and happiness in the years ahead. Don't be a stranger! Happy retirement!”
