Important planning meetings due to be held in Lifford next Monday
Donegal County Council is to hold a special meeting next Monday, April 24 at 10am in the County House, Lifford to consider a number of important plans that could have far-reaching implications for Letterkenny and the county in general.
Councillors will be asked to deliberate on the Draft Letterkenny Plan and Local Transport Plan 2023-2029 and consider chief executive John McLaughlin's report on the submissions received during the plan's formal consultation period. They may or may not decide to accept or reject the plans as it has posed several challenging issues for them to date.
The same councillors will also be asked to consider the Draft County Donegal Development Plan and Environmental Report and whether to publish the draft version or amend it.
Again this plan has been a long time in the making with many issues being raised by different sectors.
