Two Donegal schools get green light to proceed to construction of extensions

This is welcome news for the schools in Newtowncunningham and Kilmacrennan

Two Donegal schools get the go ahead to proceed with extension construction

Scoil Cholmcille NS, Newtowncunningham and Scoil Naisiunta Naomh Colmchille, Kilmacrennan have received approval to process to construction of extensions.

The news was welcomed by Minister for Agriculture and the Marine Charlie McConalogue, TD, who said: “Confirmation of approval to proceed to construction for these school extensions is important for the school communities in Newtowncunningham and Kilmacrennan and will really help the school offering in these towns. 

“I thank the school principals, boards, staff, parents and most importantly pupils for their commitment and work to their school communities.”

The schools have both received the go ahead to move to construction stage for their extension projects under the Additional School Accommodation scheme.
