The team at The Mount Errigal Hotel are celebrating today having been recognised as a four-star hotel by Fáilte Ireland.

Located in Letterkenny, The Mount Errigal Hotel is a popular destination for meetings, corporate stays and leisure breaks. This Fáilte Ireland award ensures high standards of quality, taking in every aspect of a guest’s experience and comfort.

The reclassification follows a multi-million euro renovation including a full refurbishment of bedrooms, ballroom, public toilets and also the addition of an extensive outdoor terrace area.

The hotel has been run by the McEniff family for the last 55 years and has gone from strength to strength. The 139-bedroom hotel which employs 150 people has been professionally designed to cater superbly for business and leisure guests alike, providing higher levels of comfort and style.

Commenting on the hotel’s new four-star status, Conor McEniff, General Manager, said; “We are thrilled to be commended as a four-star hotel, it’s a significant milestone for us and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. From our front desk staff to our housekeeping team, from our chefs to our maintenance crew, everyone has played a vital role in achieving this recognition. I would particularly like to thank Joan Duffy and Failte Ireland for all their assistance.

"We have always been committed to providing our guests with the highest level of service and comfort. We strive to ensure that each and every guest who walks through our doors feels welcomed and valued. Our team has gone above and beyond to make sure that every aspect of their stay is enjoyable and memorable.

"We take a very long term view and this has always been the case since the hotel was established. By committing to the investment, we are expressing confidence in the hospitality sector and the continuing development of the Wild Atlantic Way as a global destination for short-breaks and family holidays.”
