Renewed snow and ice warning as weather set to worsen

Met Eireann has issued further weather warnings due to changing conditions

Met Eireann has issued an updated nationwide weather warning for rain, sleet and snow which will spread northwards across the country accompanied by strengthening winds.

According to the forecaster: "Accumulations of snow are expected in many areas along with icy conditions. Sleet and snow will likely transition to rain in southern areas for a time."

Possible Impacts:

● Hazardous driving conditions

● Travel disruption

● Poor Visibility

The warning took effect at 9am on Thursday and will remain in place until 12 noon on Friday.
