Score with a Covid-19 vaccination booster on Sunday the the big GAA game
Donegal GAA fans will be able to score a point of their own this Sunday but it might not go over the Galway bar.
The HSE want them to meet up with their mobile vaccination unit outside O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny from 11.30am to 2.30pm on Sunday next February 26 for a Covid booster jab.
Those attending the Round 4 of the Allianz Football League Division 1 game or those wishing to travel to Letterkenny can avail of primary and booster doses of the vaccine.
General Manager, Covid-19 Vaccination Programme HSE Community Healthcare Sinead McConnell, said they are bringing their mobile vaccination unit to the game to make vaccination as readily available as possible.
The vaccine is available to those aged 12 years and over with those aged 12 to 16 years need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Those wishing to avail of the vaccine are asked to bring a photographic ID with them.
Currently, there are high levels of respiratory viruses, including Covid-19, in circulation in the community. Therefore it’s important that all eligible people avail of Covid-19 boosters to protect themselves and those around them from serious Covid-19 illness.
All people in the 18-49 years age group are eligible for their second Covid-19 booster, provided it is six months since their last vaccine or since they had a Covid-19 infection.
You can check the number of Covid-19 vaccines you have already received and the date of your last Covid-19 vaccine on your digital Covid-19 certificate.
Meanwhile, those aged six months to four years can now also receive their primary Covid-19 boosters, appointments for which can be made via www.hse.ie
There are a number of options for those in Donegal to get their vaccines over the next week.
