Gardai to bolster Letterkenny patrols to tackle anti-social behaviour

Extra Garda patrols will be deployed at locations in Letterkenny that have been subjected to anti-social behaviour.

In recent weeks, Gardai have been alerted to several incidents of anti-social behaviour at various locations.

The reports received say the incidents involved ‘groups of young people’.

Gardai have moved to allay fears and have urged the public to report such incidents.

“We wish to reassure the public that each matter reported to us will be fully investigated and we advise anybody who is subject to any type of antisocial behaviour to report the matter to us without delay,” a Garda spokesperson said.

“Additional patrols will now take place at the locations that have already been brought to our attention.”
