Electricity supply sabotaged at Letterkenny house

Gardai have appealed for information after electricity wires were cut in an incident on Friday

The electricity of a Letterkenny house was cut off last week in an act of criminal damage.

Gardai have launched a probe after a resident in Ashfield made a report on Friday last at 4.15pm.

The resident reported that someone had come to their house and had cut electrical wires/cables above the electricity meter and the power had been cut off as a result.

This person, who has been described as ‘a young male’, then left in a silver van.

A Garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who may have seen this person or the silver van in question in the area on that date to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.”
