This facility ensures the rollout of the Enhanced Community Care Programme within Donegal. The patient will benefit from this facility as it will improve timely access to diagnostics in the community, and reduce pressure on the acute hospital services
The new facility operates Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm with a current capacity of 25-30 pre-scheduled x-rays per day.
Capacity will further increase in May 2023 following the appointment of a second Radiographer.

In a statement, the HSE said: "We would like to acknowledge the significant support provided by our colleagues in Letterkenny University Hospital, General Practice and wider HSE management who have been instrumental in supporting the set-up of this facility. We look forward to continue to work in partnership to progress the development of the diagnostic services in Donegal for our community for the benefit of our patients."
