The recent shake-up of the Donegal Garda Division has continued with new Superintendents allocated to two of the Districts.
Superintendent Goretti Sheridan takes up the role in Letterkenny.
The Rathmullan native replaces the recently-retired Superintendent Michael Finan.
Previously, she served as an Inspector in Letterkenny, where she was stationed since 2013, until her promotion to the rank of Superintendent in 2019.
She served in Castlerea and the Sligo District before succeeding Superintendent Eugene McGovern in Buncrana in October, 2020.
Superintendent Sheridan has been replaced in the Buncrana District by Superintendent Barry Doyle.
Having worked as a Detective Sergeant in Ballyshannon, he served as an Inspector in Sligo and Lettrkenny.
He moves to Buncrana having been a Superintendent with the Garda Community Engagement Bureau.
Before Christmas, Aidan Glackin took over from Chief Superintendent Terry McGinn as Donegal's top Garda. Chief Superintendent Glackin also oversees the Sligo and Leitrim Divisions.
