The Termon Drama Group is coming back to the stage

Four nights of drama ahead in Kilmacrennan

The Termon Drama Club cast members all ready for their shows in March

If you want a good laugh and some feelgood entertainment, then a night in Kilmacrennan is on the cards.

The talented Termon Drama Club members are set to take to the stage shortly for four performances at the Kilmacrennan Community Hall with the hilariously funny play I’m The One For You by Jimmy Keary.

The actors, John Doherty, Henry Gallagher, Gerry McTaggart and Stephen Ferry, Caroline Dorrian, Deirdre Gallagher, Madeline McDaid, Annette Sheridan and Tracey McGrenra have been busy learning their lines and rehearsing for a number of weeks now.

The plot is intriguing. It tells the story of how Gerry O’Malley, a widower and farmer who lives alone. The entire play takes place in Gerry’s farmhouse in central Ireland. Dorrie Sinnott is a local widow, who comes in to clean for him once a week. Dorrie fancies Gerry and has high hopes that wedding bells will ring for them someday. But local bachelor farmer, Jack O’Dowd fancies Dorrie, having courted her some years previously before she was married to someone else. There is a new woman in town that Gerry fancies and the plot thickens and Gerry being colour blind doesn’t help.

But as well as enjoying a fun night out audiences will be helping two worthy causes as the show on Saturday 25 is their charity night in aid of the Irish Air Ambulance Emergency Vehicle used by Dr Gerry Lane in appreciation of their work in the recent Creeslough tragedy while Sunday 26 the proceeds collected will go to the upkeep of Kilmacrennan Community Hall.

Tickets are on sale in Gracie's Stores (Lagoon shop) Termon, The Millbridge Shop Kilmacrennan or from any of the cast or contact  (087) 7716511 for more information.
