Gardai have issued a fresh plea over an incident last Wednesday afternoon in which a hurl was used as a weapon.
Video footage was widely circulated showing three males engaged in a fight close to the Glencar roundabout.
In the video, one of the men is seen wielding a hurl and swinging it the direction of another.
Gardaí in Letterkenny are appealing for witnesses to the public order incident to come forward.
A Garda spokesperson: “At approximately 1.20pm, Gardaí received a report that a number of men were fighting on the main road at that location.
“Gardaí patrolled the area but there was no sign of the men in question in the area. A short while afterwards, a video of what is believed to have been the fight in question began to circulate.“
Gardai say they are eager to speak to the person who initially recorded the incident and have asked them to make contact.
The spokesperson said: “We also wish to speak to anybody who witnessed the incident or who was in the area and may have captured it on their dash cam footage to make contact with us in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111.”
