It has been confirmed that world number two golfer Rory McIlroy will compete at the Irish Open in 2024.
McIlroy claimed his first victory of the new year last weekend when he triumphed at the Dubai Desert Classic.
The four-time major champion, who competed in the 2023 Irish Open at the K Club, last won the tournament in 2016.
Royal County Down will host the Irish Open between September 12 and September 15 where McIlroy will target success in his native county.
