Captains Conor Reid and David Boyle with referee Martin McCormick
Four Masters 6-17
St Eunan's 0-5
It took Four Masters a little while to warm up in this U-21 championship encounter but once they did they were clinical in front of the St Eunan's goal. The front line were on fire once they got started with Seanán Carr finishing with a personal tally of 2-8.
By the 19th minute they were 0-4 to 0-1 ahead with points from Conor McCahill (2), Seanán Carr and Conor Reid with David Boyle opening the Eunan's account just short of the 20th minute.
By the 23rd minute the game was over as Four Masters fired home three goals. Kevin Muldoon and Calum McCrea put Oisin Doherty through for the first. Turlough Carr found his brother Seanán for the second and Oisin Doherty did the spadework before Conor McCahill added the third. It was just clinical finishing.
By half-time they had added five more points from Seanán Carr (3, one free), Turlough Carr and the final one from Conor McCahill the best of them all from fully 55m.
St Eunan's competed very well at midfield but didn't have the firepower up front with their other two points of the half coming from a second Boyle free and their final one from Cian McMonagle.
One of the highlights of the opening half was an effort for a point from Turlough Carr which went into the skies but he did well to retrieve it himself before it went over the endline.
Half-time: Four Masters 3-9, St Eunan's 0-3.
While David Boyle had another free for St Eunan's, the scoring trend continued with a Senan Carr turnover ending with Oisin Doherty firing home the fourth goal on 35 minutes.
It became a rout when Seanán Carr and Tiarnan McBride added further goals while McCahill rattled the crossbar.
Substitute Darragh Griffin also got in on the scoring act with Seanán Carr scoring at will. Kevin Muldoon had the final point while St Eunan's had the ball in the net but it was ruled out for a square ball.
Noteworthy to mention that Darragh Mulgrew was on the line assisting Declan O'Donnell for St Eunan's after losing out in Ulster on Saturday night.
