Lorcan Heavey in action for St Eunan's
Burt 3-10
St Eunan’s 1-16
It took two late points from Ciaran Bradley and Liam Óg McKinney to snatch a draw for Burt against St Eunan’s in a cracking match at Hibernian Park.
The sides could not be separated at the break as they were tied on a score of Burt 2-6 to St Eunan’s 1-9.
The home side got a great start when the talismanic Ronan McDermott hit a great goal after just two minutes before this was cancelled by a goal from Eunan’s outstanding Daire Ó Maoileidigh in the sixth minute in what was a very close first half.
McDermott struck again for another three-pointer in the 12th minute but had to go off injured which was a worry for Burt because Conor Gartland is also out injured at the minute.
St Eunan’s moved clear in the third quarter through pointed frees from Peter Kelly.
They were in front by 1-13 to 2-8 when Kieran Brady got a somewhat lucky goal in the 46th minute which put Burt back in front by a point.
But the Letterkenny side finished strongly and hit three points from Kelly and Brian McIntyre before Bradley and McKinney levelled matters.
