Donegal Horizons has teamed up with Donegal GAA to run a camp for adults with intellectual disabilities.
The Inclusion GAA Camp will take place on Thursday, June 20 from 11am to 12:30pm at Letterkenny Community Centre. It will be a one-day camp delivered by Donegal GAA - with Donegal Hosizons having linked up with Declan Bushell, Donegal Head of Games - and will include coaching and games for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Anyone interested in attending on the day can contact Seamus Friel, Donegal Horizons’ senior key worker and a player with Gaeil Fhánada, on 0870616225 or email seamus@newhorizonpartnership.co.uk
This follows on from the successful soccer camp ran over four weeks, delivered by Stephen McNutt, Finn Harps FC’s social responsibility officer. Averaging 45 participants over four Thursdays, the initiative was enjoyed by all and plans were then put in place to run a GAA one.
